We are a collective of like-minded people who have a love for comics and pop culture and want to do bring a unforgettable comic book experience to DC!

Story

We are a collective of like minded people who have a love for comics and pop culture and want to do what we can to bring a unforgettable comic book experience to our great D.C. customers. We are a staff that has numerous years of comic book experience both creatively and as retailers.

We are firm believers in providing great customer service to every customer who comes into our shop. We will be the store with friendly knowledgeable staff who will help you and the place where you can talk shop.

We are the next GREAT comic book shop. Most of all, we are comic book fans and fans of all things geekdom! We're Venus's Comic Shop. Where Superheroes are people too!

Our store in Union Station is expected to open in July 2017. We will sell comic books, graphic novels as well as tee shirts, hats, toys and comic book paraphernalia (i.e. bookbags, key chains, etc.). We will also eventually be holding events such as table top gaming and trivia night. We will be showcasing independent art and comics (local and abroad) in a variety of ways.

The purpose for bringing Venus's Comic Shop to life is because of the dream to own our own comic shop. Literally making this a dream come true. It allows us to help others and help the next generation of creators showcase their works. We get to pay homage to a dear friend who lost her battle with cancer. In fact, we will be donating a portion of our profits every month to cancer research.

Why are we doing all of this? Because comics are awesome!
