This place completely devastated our family with its treatment of my mother. My mom was sent here for rehab by Community Hospital in Munster. Worst choice ever. This place provided terrible quality of care and worst customer service. My mom's pain was not controlled, to the point where she was screaming and begging to die. The doctor avoided our family, preventing us from knowing what they could do for my mother as far as pain control (Stage 4 cancer with bone mets). We were NEVER contacted by Dr. Shah in spite of leaving several messages for him. He left on a Friday evening without renewing my mom's pain medication. The on-duty nurse told our family she would have to make do with ibuprofen. This is after being on morphine and Norco for terminal cancer. Working in healthcare, I know that a simple phone call from a Registered Nurse to Dr. Shah would have allowed her to get a verbal order for her medication. This nurse was too busy to care about my mother's suffering to even consider doing so. Unfortunately, I live in Colorado and was not able to raise this issue at the time it happened. I don't know what their RN patient ration looks like but I am sure it's not an appropriate staffing pattern. Every time we rang the bell, a CNA would go and turn it off and tell us an RN was on her way. Sure, an RN is on her way---an hour later. My mom's meds were supposed to be given to her at 10 p.m., we were lucky if she got them at 11 p.m. She begged our family to get her out of there and we did. We had her transferred back to Community Hospital and they were shocked at her condition. She had a huge bedsore. If your family member is truly sick, please look elsewhere for empathetic treatment. My mother passed away and every time I think of her suffering at the hands of Vibra Hospital staff it makes me cry. I wish we had insisted on taking her home, which is what we proposed to Community Hospital. Against our better judgment, we agreed and now that choice haunts me.

The building in general is clean and the grounds looks very nice however my uncle floor in his room was nasty. Nurses are rude I understand they have a hard stressful job but no way to treat guest.

Although the facilities were impressive, the service was abysmal. There were many chiefs and not enough Indians so service to patients was extremely poor. Even though the supervisor said the patients were bathed daily, after 6 days no bath was given to my mother. I became weary of asking for service, so I went daily and bathed her myself. Medications were excessive and I was promised a listing of medications which never materialized. Food was was impressive, but placed on table and mother could not reach and bed was not rolled up. I would never recommend this facility.

My grandmother has bedsores which shows negligence. She got her diabetic medication two hours late. Her blood pressure dropped to 50/20. She wasn't getting her other medication on time or at all. Her system is now shutting down all because the nurses didn't want to mess with her. Her heart is pumping at 25%. The nurses and other staff are rude. A few nurses kept pushing for a do not resuscitate form. They didn't do the scans they were telling us they did such as the EEG or CT scans and such. This place is killing my grandmother all because she had a brain surgery and wasn't conscious. I would give this place less than 1 star if I could.
