My family and I went here for the Easter brunch. Our reservation was for 11, which is when the brunch service started. To begin, our server was slow, inattentive, and below average. Our appetizers came out at an acceptable time, however the entrees were served well after people who sat and ordered after us. Front of the house management offered a half hearted apology for the tardiness. The food itself was average at best. For it being my first time here, I'm not so sure I'd go back based on this experience. The building itself is historic and interesting to explore.

Played music for a 50th anniversary recently. The staff greeted me as part of the team unlike most venues I play in the Main Line. The musician, the servers, the bartenders, the chef, the manager, the owner- the florist- we all have the he same goal- to make the event the best possible for the attendees. No one is a prima donna- Teamwork is what makes the event enjoyable for all. I didn't need to ask for a soda or cup of coffee.

A group of six ladies had returned to Vicker's for our annual Christmas luncheon. We were very disappointed in the service, the presentation and the quality of the food. The lobster bisque was luke warm, watery and only contained one tiny piece of lobster meat. The waiter explained that it had been ground up?? The mushroom soup was also thin and cold. The omelets were over cooked and dry and were served with cold French fries?? No garnish??? Just an omelet and fries! We thought we were at a diner! The salmon special was tasty and served with roasted potatoes, asparagus and carrots, but it was not hot!! The bill arrived and the gratuity was included! That is not unusual, but they took the liberty of adding MORE than 20%!! At our request, they did adjust the gratuity, but our request to see the manager was not heeded. We do not expect to make a repeat visit! High price and poor quality and service!

We were there for Mothers Day brunch so my review is specific to this. Where do I begin...the Service-stuffy & unfriendly -honestly I can't remember the last time I had service like this. The negative demeanor, clipped answers etc. really detracted from our experience. The Food-they offered a brunch menu for $35-appetizer, entree & dessert and children could choose 2 items off this adult specific menu for $17. Juice was included but Mimosa's, Bloody Mary's etc extra $10. Given that it was Mothers Day and most tables had children, a small childrens' offering would have been appreciated, especially for younger kids. We asked for scrambled eggs for our 2 yr old & 6 yr old grandchildren-this was accommodated but we paid $34. This was a bit much, especially for a 2 yr old that barely touch the oversized serving. The menu was eclectic but positives were the lovely salad & lobster bisque appetizers (extra charge for the bisque) & crab cake entree served with scalloped potatoes. The 1st bite of my salmon was delicious-I like it undercooked and this was...however the middle was raw & cold/chewy-it was served with mushroom risotto which I normally love but the texture & flavor was lacking. Three at the table ordered steak & eggs-how do you mess this up? 2 of the 3 steaks were overcooked (one had asked for med-rare & received it well done). On the positive side it's a charming historic inn with beamed ceilings, a cozy but formal atmosphere and it has a lovely outdoor courtyard. Dinner may be a different experience but I would never recommend or return here for brunch.
