I have been going to Village Auto Tech forever… and the service I get is amazing… Candi and his team are great mechanics. I never worry. My sisters are also clients.. Grateful to Candi & Fatima & Team
Best mechanic experience I've had on the west end of Toronto. Great service, and very quick. They diagnosed the problem, ordered the part in, and finished it up and did an oil change on top of that in 2/3 hours. I'll be going back to this shop from now on.
Really friendly staff and good customer service, got back to me right away, answered my questions promptly. However, I found them really overpriced and didn't end up using their services because of this. I went in for new brakes rotors, pads, callipers, and was quoted $1000 with tax without callipers and another $90 + tax if it turned out new callipers were needed. I've had brakes done on this car before and never paid that much so I called around to 3 other places and didn't get a single other quote over $700 taxes in. Ended up paying $650 at another mechanic for the whole thing. It's a shame, because they're quite close to my house and they were definitely nice, but I can't afford the price hike for something so basic.
Mr. Candido it’s an awesome, patient and very knowledgeable Mechanic. Took my 07 mini cooper R52 to replace the alternator and everything went smooth! Totally recommend it!
I WILL NEVER EVER EVER TAKE MY JEEP TO THIS PLACE AGAIN, ONCE WAS ENOUGH My Jeep Wrangler broke down, wouldn’t shift, and I had it taken by CAA to this garage. First time in 16 years it broke down My husband had recently passed and he always looked after servicing. A neighbor had recommended this garage for service work and since it was local, thought I’d give them a try. What a mistake that was. Turns out they are a very small shop, looks like only 4 bays and have no storage facility, if the vehicle is kept overnight, their storage is an open parking lot. Brought it in on Saturday and by Tuesday afternoon they still hadn’t looked at it. It was a long weekend At the end of Tuesday, was told a part was needed and it would take 5 to 10 days to get. Got verbal quote of $275.00 for labour and $398.00 parts. This didn’t make sense, and so I asked for the part # for the gear shifter cable. I was told to phone around myself, find it, order it and have it shipped to them ? Next day phoned Jeep parts supplier and was advised 7 cables in a warehouse in Mississauga. Called them and told them, but then they said there was a 2nd part, they claimed it needed a Lever-Manual Control, the item not in stock. Again was told to look after getting the part myself, because they didn’t have the time? Found 2 in Ontario, but got to thinking why would a lever be needed. Called back to ask what’s wrong with the lever and was told by mechanic, nothing, it’s rusty. So because the lever is rusty, they were going to hold up repair of the Jeep for at least 10 days until it came in, or maybe more, and also charge extra parts & labour on a new one that wasn’t needed ? Told them to order the cable, forget the lever and fix the vehicle. They didn’t get that organized until Thursday aft, and didn’t have the Jeep released until Friday mid morning. Now a week later. Asked for invoice which was $398.00 for the parts, less $60.00 for the lever not supplied and then an extra $50.00 on the labour. Asked why because they had only put in 1 part and was told the charge was to polish the lever ? REALLY - CHARGE TO POLISH A LEVER without advising me or getting approval. They did reverse that charge and were paid $670.00. When I picked up the Jeep I found they had gone through it, everything that was in the centre console box had been taken out and was lying all over the passenger side floor. All covers from the back seat were in the back of the Jeep. Amateur radio bolted to the front dash, had been removed and was now crammed between the passenger seat and the center console. Nothing had been put back where it had been.. I will never ever go to this shop again and I sure would suggest you don’t either. They cannot afford the time to get the parts, cannot pay for the parts but ask you to, and they up charge when not necessary. That isn’t a reputable shop as far as I am concerned. And if you do go there I suggest that you check your bills, as up charging might be a common thing for them to do. PS. You won’t get a written quote and they do not reply to emails.
These guys are so good! You feel so comfortable walking in! They really gave me all the options for my car and it allowed be to pick what tires would work best for a price that worked for me! Its a nice vibe! My car was well taken care of!
Been going here for many years. Candido and his team do an amazing job and are super honest about everything. They will always tell you if something can wait, or if it cant, which is great if you have a lot to have done. Would highly recommend them!
The experience I had at Village Auto was easily the most seamless process of any shop I visited. Called ahead of time and asked for availability, they gave me a date and time, I showed up at that time and they got started right away. I needed to get a lug nut replaced, the mechanic showed me the issues with the mount and fixed it in less than an hour. Very friendly and transparent service, something that seems to be hard to find these days. Although Village Auto does walk-ins, they are quite busy so I’d advise to call in advance and ask for availability. As other reviews suggested, they are indeed reasonably priced! I would recommend this shop to anyone.
Great and honest service! I took in my vehicle in the morning without an appointment for an air conditioner issue. The staff were extremely professional and accommodating! I had my vehicle ready and good to go for a charge that was quite lower than other garages.
Village Auto was fantastic! Took my car in for my oil and engine light, they took the car in immediately and within a day had diagnosed the issue and fixed it. Not too expensive, and wasn’t pushed to do anything the car didn’t need. As a young woman I was a bit nervous about a new mechanic, but was totally impressed and will definitely bring my car back here when it needs it.
