My friend and I visited Vinyl Club on a Friday night.  We assumed we new what to expect going in, but those expectations were absolutely shattered.  It's a bit of a dive - kind of small with low ceilings and seemed kind of dingy.  There is one bar and a dance floor with some seating around the perimeter.  Prior to music and dancing they were hosting a series of local comedians.  I didn't particularly enjoy either the comedians or the DJ, but the bar tender was friendly and so with a couple drinks things were a little less rough around the edges.  Although the stripper pole was fun, and a majority of the crowd was more similar in age to us than we were originally thinking, we were ready to be done fairly quickly.

I should have never gone just based on the fact the bouncer was telling a girl that if she gave him a blowjob she could get in for free.... well turns out there is no cover charge anyways so there is that. A small bar that looks like a frat basement I guess is cool. I am open to try new places but watching the DJ stand there texting and not even at his booth over half the time just pressing play when a song ends to start the next song is pretty pathetic to me. When it picked up a little in business he started to "mix" more than pressing play. I might suggest beat matching to him if he even knows what that means. The bathroom is outside through another door that brings you back into the same club but seperate by a half wall, when I asked if I had to wait in line again or if I could go back to the "dance" half I was responded with a rude comment from the bouncer. I'm a new customer asking politely what the procedures are so there is no need to be a dick. My friends went to the bathroom and we're told they couldn't come back in because they were at capacity. Right after that comment, the bouncer then let's in 6 guys. So..... that makes sense to me! Capacity means let in 6 guys and not 2 girls who had already been inside I suppose. The bouncer made sure to tell us when we left that his club is extremely exclusive and we can all leave and "TRY" to find somewhere cooler if we can. That wasnt a hard task to do, as we found somewhere in less than 5 minutes. I wish I could give 0 stars for this place but that was a terrible first impression for someone that just moved to this area.
