Looking for a great affordable breakfast in Herndon? Well  Virginia Kitchen does just that. I've been in this plaza before for various reasons, then stumbled upon this place with a quick yelp search, attempting to find a place for brunch that wasn't either pricey or a chain. The Orange juice is amazing, their sausage links are flavorful, and the banana nut bread was everything I could have ever hoped for.  My mother was a fan of the sausage biscuits (which she has high standards for) and their potatoes were very nicely seasoned, which is a feat since I rarely find myself actually liking potatoes. The waitstaff is very warm and welcoming and the environment is a cozy-upbeat kind of atmosphere. Would've liked to try the blackberry pie, but the banana nut bread appeased my sweet tooth, will be back to try the Banana nut bread french toast. Great place for breakfast.

Best breakfast restaurant in town!!!
Every weekend there is a new special, from Cornbread waffles to Cajun biscuits and gravy. Any breakfast food desire you may have they have it. I have been coming here for over 6 years almost every weekend. If you haven't been here try it tomorrow. The staff is very friendly and what helps is it's the same folks that work here for over 15 years which creates consistency.

Love this place. It's like visiting family. The staff is welcoming, warm and friendly. The food is delicious and the coffee is good and hot.

Our server scowled at me the entire meal. It seemed like asking for water was inconvenient. We ordered two waffles and banana bread. The banana bread was undercooked and tasted like nuts and baking soda. 

The waffles were very plan, with parsley sitting on top. I ordered the raisin and cinnamon waffle and someone dumped a bunch of ground cinnamon then just sprinkled raisins. I coughed several times because of the cinnamon. It felt like I was being forced to do the cinnamon challenge. The blueberry waffle was no different.

My sausage links were under cooked... I ended up going to Jimmy Johns next door to get the taste of cinnamon and baking soda out of mouth. I was excited by the other reviews and this place being family run. No thank you. Never again.

Food is good and fresh. The pretzel bread breakfast sandwich was excellent.  The server we had seemed very upset though especially when we asked to substitute food for something else.
