Lived here 2 years. The only good things about this place are the front concierge staff and the location. Rent is outrageous and the maintenance staff's hands are tied by equity residential to do anything to fix something until it absolutely need replacement. I will never live in an equity building again. To get anything done, you must go to at least the regional level, I had to go to the executive level twice (seriously, had multiple email chains with the COO of equity residential, a publicly traded company, who sits in 700 miles away because the staff are so incompetent). Took 18 months to finally replace a balcony door that was leaking air.

Lived here through 2 community managers and both were terrible. Its a corporate culture problem. The degree of the increase in rent each year is absurd, highest in the area. They'd rather flip units than retain tenants, churning move in fees. They list apartments on the market for LESS than they offer them to current tenants to renew for. 

When we moved in they were about to begin the transition from Archstone to Equity Residential and the change was very noticeable.  Would caution against living in an Equity Residential building.

Not as pet friendly as advertised, highest pet rent in the area and they are sticklers for every minor thing. 

STAFF LIES TO YOU ON TOUR, DO NOT LIVE HERE, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

What I love most about Virginia Square Apartments is the fabulous rooftop amenities and breath taking views that stretch all the way out past the Monuments and Cathedral in DC. Not to mention that the building is literally a few steps from the metro station. 

Every time that I visit the building, it makes me want to move back to Arlington, his time to Virginia Square. The charm and sophistication of the surrounding area on top of very friendly and welcoming service from the employees separate the building from all the others around. You just can't beat it with a Starbucks, dry cleaners and grocery store connected to the building I would never leave if I lived here! 

Make sure to put this apartment building on your list if you are looking for a conveniently located, luxury apartment that's close to everything.

I moved in July and by far the best apartments in the area. The location is perfect and close to everything.  The staff there are all professional and accomdating. The day of my move in I placed a maintenance request and they were there in a jiffy.  Turns out there was no issue and it was just me being a goof. They made my experience moving to VA a memorable one and gave me peace of my mind. Best of all,  it's extremely quiet and sometimes I even forget I have neighbors.

I've lived here for a few months now and have no complaints. Great views from rooftop, maintenance comes quickly if you have a maintenance request, everything done easily online. Happy to live here.

I love Virginia Square Apartments.  Alex is very knowledgeable about the community and is very professional.  I love my apartment.  I will refer everyone to my community.   The Service Team is awesome as well!  Everyone is SUPER friendly.  Proud to call VA Square home!
