Tom was awesome! This was our first time paddle boarding. I was a nervous wreck at first, but after Tom gave us great instructions and most importantly how to stay safe, it was so easy! I was leaving my husband behind! Great experience and will do it again. Thanks Tom!!

I was a little apprehensive, even doubtful at first. I can't surf, don't do yoga, or any number of activities that would have "qualified" me for beginner stand-up paddle boarding. Turns out, Eric's a fantastic instructor, I have decent balance, and the French Broad is marvelous for newbies cruising down the river. I'd definitely do this again!

Super friendly, funny, lovely staff. They give instructions and tips before you get on the board. You meet at the address given when you make a reservation and they shuttle you to the river from there. They gave us water proof phone protectors so we could take pictures-and didn't charge us a rental fee or require us to purchase them (like other places). The price to rent sup's is very reasonable, especially considering the great customer service and equipment. I've tried other local services but will always reccommend Wai Mauna from now on. Nothing against the others, they were decent and I didn't have any complaints about them. But...Wai Mauna was better! I'll be using them exclusively from now on.

We had an awesome time. It was our first time paddle boarding, but we kayak and longboard. It was an easy stretch of river and we'll probably end up buying paddle boards. These guys were great and even gave us a little tour of the surrounding area. 😁
