I mean...it's Walmart. Be warned - It's a tiny super Walmart, so the selection is limited. The stars I give it are for it's being a food oasis for this community. It filled a gap that was much needed and has remained busy and open for the past 4 years +. I live so close to it, I can't avoid it but there are times that I would rather drive out of my way than to deal with some of the stuff that goes down at this store. There is ALWAYS someone in the parking lot asking for food or money or both. Parking can get ridiculous if there is an event at one of the nearby universities. The lines are what I've come to expect from all Walmart locations, but this one can just get insane. Especially at closing. They close at 10pm and remind of that starting at 9pm, but there is no "get-up-and-go" on the part of the employees to speed up the checkout. In fact they will close lanes during this time so avoid it at closing time if you can. They don't have any hand baskets, and very few of the small carts available, and since it's tight in there you will probably find it a little challenging to maneuver your cart at times on a busy day.

A lady kicked me out of her line because she said she was closing the line. Mind you, I had been standing there for over 10 minutes waiting for her to hurry up.. She was moving extremely slow. Plus I only had a few items. When she said her line was closing, all of the other lines were extremely long. So after I moved to another line and stood there for 5 minutes, she allowed people from another line to come over. They ended up getting checked out before me! I was waiting for another 15 minutes! So if you see a chubby chick with the ratchett blonde braids, don't go to her! Plus there are plenty of people in and outside of the store begging people for money and begging them to buy ALL of their groceries. The rest of the staff was nice, but they definitely need more people and better security 3/5.

This is the only Wal-Mart located in/ near downtown Atlanta; therefore, this is the closest/ most convenient branch for me to visit. Although it is small and always crowded, the staff is always polite, smiling, and helpful. However, they should have more registers open at all times. Even with all registers open, there may still be long lines at times. This is due to the shear volume of customers. I wish they were open later because after 8pm you have to travel; after midnight you have to go outside the city to find a Wal-Mart.

Not enough registers opened. When I asked I was told everyone was on break. It was 4:30 pm, long, long lines even at 20 items or less register. Got tired of waiting, so I left without making a purchase... Unfortunately, I HAVE to give one star. My preference is none.

This Walmart is in a very dangerous area. This is our second and last time going to this store. The first time we went, there was a fight and multiple people in the parking lot walking up to cars begging. The second time, we went to look for a specific comforter. Although we had a bad first experience we figured all would be ok. As we walked across the parking lot and got close to the entrance, multiple gun shots were fired. We ran into the store to what we thought was safety. We didn't know that after a few minutes of being in the store, a fight would break out. SMH Once we knew it would be safe to go outside. we left. Never again!
