We came to visit family in Wyoming and stopped by the Walmart Super Center in Evanston. Wife used an electric shopping cart that was fully charged and ran well. We bought more than we had intended (by $200) but the staff, the store feel and atmosphere and the experience were professional and friendly. The restrooms were very clean, wiped down and stocked. This is a well run, fully stocked store that, for us, was a delight to shop. Would strongly recommend this location to orhers. 5-Stars.

My wife and I went shopping here and she saw a Savage .22 for 99 dollars she wanted. When she tried to buy it, Ian kept asking if it was for me and if I was allowed to own a gun. I told him it's for my wife, she's the one buying it and doing the background check, but yes I am. He then says he's not allowed to sell the firearms because his training isn't finished, he'll have to get his supervisor. Along comes Parker, the supervisor, who tells us "Ian thinks this is a straw purchase and I'm going to take his word for it." We go to customer service to talk to a manager. Porter, the manager, says he'll try to sort it out. 15 minutes later, he returns telling us that it was reported to ATF as an attempted straw sale, I'll have to call them to sort it out. Any complaints and I can call 1-800-walmart. What is going on in this store?!? If you want to buy a .22, make sure you go alone, because if your spouse is with you, they'll report you to the government. I should have known better than to think Wal-Mart would know how to sell a firearm when it's a teenager and a hipster behind the sporting goods counter.

I like most Wal-Marts not the one in Evanston though. It's okay. I guess. It seems like over half the staff could care less about me as a costumers. Their are some employees that do care and that are helpful. Especially in electronics and automotive. No bad experiences with automotive. Electronics is kinda hit or miss. Sometimes there's someone helpfully that is knowledgeable in the feild . Other times there is no one around then if you happen to find someone they wont have a clue on how to help. I find my self spending more than I can afford here way to often. They do have some good deals that are worth taking advantage of. So as long as I go in to by certain items and stick to my plan. I can save money. If I go in just start buying stuff I always spend to much.

It's Walmart. You can get practically anything you need here and they always have someone there to take care of any questions even if it takes a while
