Murray is by far the best vet in the golden horseshoe in my opinion. He is honest and genuinely cares for the well being of your pet. He has corrected a botched surgery done by a popular vet that rhymes with eaty on our little Chihuahua. I have watched him around people and he helps people and doesn't take advantage to fill his pockets. He treats all kinds of animals and will always tell you the truth even if it hurts. One more important thing is Murray can empower you to take care of your pet instead of making you dependent on him for every little thing and racking up unnecessary vet bills, Thanks Murray from Eric and Christine
Big thanks to the doc. My Rudy had a bad case of kennel cough and with the meds prescribed he had a full, quick recovery and it didn't break the bank. You don't see that too often! He's since ate a pen, so we might be back sooner rather than later.
Excellent attention! Dr. Murray is the best vet ever. So knowledgeable and he uses common sense. As a health care provider, I know that many times you just need a good clinical judgment instead of many lab tests and imaging procedures. I have always have an appointment when my dogs have needed it. Dr. Murray’s diagnosis are right on! Full clinic, simple and efficient. I wouldn’t change him.
I had to share my very much appreciation and gratitude for the care my dog received in dr Murray care. If it was not for him I truly believe I would not have my dog now. Dr. Murray took us as new clients because he was open when my vet i have used for 35+ years was not available. He took the time to look at my dog, and even squeezed us in between patients for a follow-up appointment to deal with more concerns I had. A very caring vet, whom I think went beyond to save my dog. Dr. Murray, Finally a Vet you can afford to take your pet to as he has no additional staff and does his job out of passion and love. He may be cheaper than most Vets but his service is top notch. Highly recomended for you and your Pet.
Murray needs a receptionist, debit machine and an assistant. I've been seeing him for over 10 years and yesterday I had to put down my 15 year old chi pooh. I was told to sit in the entrance area, one needle given. Then a lady came in to bring him coffee. He had to be reminded that she needed another needle. Finally second needle was given with her on my lap. More people coming in past me, telephone calls and here I am sitting crying with my dead dog on my lap. The only attention I got was from other patients staring at me. He had to be reminded yet again to take my dog away. I left crying for his rudeness and will never be back. His prices went up as well. Not much difference for putting a dog down elsewhere.
The most RUDEST and not caring human I have ever met.... Do not take your dog here unless you want to be treated like a piece of @#^%. Clearly he has been doing this to long and has lost his compassion for both people and animals.
Exceptional Care and Compassion at Highway 20 Animal Hospital!!! I cannot recommend Highway 20 Animal Hospital enough, particularly due to the exceptional care provided by Dr. Murray. From the moment I walked in with my ill Boxer X, I knew I had found a vet who truly understands both animals and their owners. After visiting multiple vets in Hamilton and Niagara, my dog had become overly fearful and reactive. However, Dr. Murray's practical approach transformed the experience for both me and Charlie. He provided the care Charlie needed without causing additional stress or anxiety. No muzzle. No sedatives. No fearful aggression. For lack of better terms, the other vets I had visited were “snowflakes” and were just as scared of my dog as he was of them. If you love and handle large breeds you know how problematic a situation like that could be. Since then, I have entrusted all my pets, as well as those of my family members, to Highway 20 Animal Hospital. Moreover, I have enthusiastically referred this clinic to countless friends and colleagues. All of which have become loyal clients. Having previously worked alongside Dr. Murray in the surgery room for many years, I witnessed firsthand his unwavering devotion and care for animals and clients alike. His expertise and compassion are truly unmatched. I am incredibly grateful for Highway 20 Animal Hospital and Dr. Murray for consistently providing top-notch care and creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
We called with an urgent issue with our cat and the doctor welcomed us and took care of our fur baby, I highly recommend this place, honest and compassionate people work there.
We we’re very happy with our appointment today.. I called in the morning he had us in within a few hours, we have never been there before Dr Murray did a great job looking over our dog and suggested what we should do and took all the time we needed for him to answer our questions. Definitely he is our new vet
