I have been a resident of Waukegan for over 20 years and have called the last 4 years to inquire when Ashley Lane and the intersect of Ashley and Keith will be re-paved. In 20 yrs they just sprinkle a little black top/asphalt. I have been told there is a schedule. Let me start with a good-the snow plow crew is the best. Always timely and do a good job.  The street needs an overall. It hasn’t been done in over 20 years. If you go to other non-black and brown neighborhoods you never see this. Why do we see it in our tax paying community. Who should I contact next? How often do I need to contact them? Your help is needed. We deserve nicely paved streets.

 Well, what can you say about public works? None of us would miss them until they are not there, wouldn't that be an accurate statement? Public works has always been extremely responsive to my inquiries, they've taken down trees on the property line, they have taken care of water issues and sewer issues and always pick up the dead branches and trimmings from my trees. they plow the streets, they make sure the streetlights are operable, they take care of all of the maintenance outside in the municipality. I've never had a cross word with anyone outside on the streets or inside in the offices concerning our public works department. They've always been extremely respectful!

Washington street has been destroyed for who knows who long. Yet they are fixing grand and belvidere for what

they are good, but need to be open on sat., at least until 12:00 PM!
