Story

Weikel’s Store and Bakery is a family owned destination located on State Hwy 71 in La Grange, complete with an authentic Czech bakery, deli and grill, and high-end apparel and gift shop called Honey Bunny’s.

Famous for their incredibly soft and moist kolaches, Weikel’s Store and Bakery offers a wide variety of made-from scratch fruit and cream filled kolaches, pigs-in-the blanket, pies, sweet rolls, breads, cakes and cookies. The deli serves sandwiches made-to-order on Weikel’s fresh homemade bread as well as wraps, croissants and breakfast sandwiches. Honey Bunny’s gift shop is a shopper’s paradise offering unique gift items for all ages, home décor, candles, children’s and women’s apparel and much more.

Weikel’s is special for many reasons. Now run by the third generation, Weikel’s holds true to long-time family business values - honesty, product quality and personal customer service. One of the most special parts of the business is the authenticity of the Czech kolache recipe which is traced back four generations to Czechoslovakia. Products are made by hand, using old-school tools and techniques. Times may change, but these core values remain close to the heart of the business.
