We love camping here for Christmas in July. Fun family events, just the right amount of sites, and space. Not sure if the nature of people and customer service has worn down the owners, but they are more annoyed/overwhelmed than they ever were in the past. Not as friendly. It is also a bit pricy for shuttles and such. We have been camping here for 8 years but are considering not going back this year.

The West Canada campground is one of the friendliest campgrounds in our area. Mike and Sandy Papp went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. We love their new tent sites. They are spacious and serene. Their store has all the necessities you need. Great place to stay.

Tubing or kayaking West Canada Creek is great. But that can be experienced outside the campground. Owner stated she is stressed and proceeded to demonstrate just what that means. Possibly, a change of career is in line? I don't care to return.

West Canada Creek has some good reviews, but unfortunately, the visit my wife and I had was not that great. We did not stay at the campground alot during the 3 days we stayed here, but while we were there, the campground staff was driving all around our area with tractors doing work. It sounded like a construction site. We go camping to relax and have some down-time....so when they broke out a DJ that blasted wedding-style DJ music one night from about 8-10pm, it really ruined our evening. The garage-type structure that they were playing the music from was about 30 yards from our site....so it was pretty hard to ignore. I'm sure some people enjoy this type of entertainment....however, I am not a fan of loud late-night music. One thing to note is....if you have family/friends with disabilities, not all bathrooms are handicap accessible. The bathrooms next to where the DJ was playing has no ramps and the doorways are narrow, so I'm not sure if a wheelchair would even fit thru if you could get up the step. Lastly....my wife and I was driving thru the campground to go somewhere one day. We were about to drive by a campground employee who was walking. She was an older lady with glasses, and she had a poncho on due to the rain. Just as we were about to pass by her, she turned towards my truck and screamed "it's 5 miles per hour"! I stopped and rolled down my window and said "I am going exactly 5". She yelled into my window "it looks like an awful fast 5"! I don't know how she could even see how fast I was going, because she had her hood up and she was walking in the same direction I was driving, and just as my bumper went by her she turned and screamed. In 15 years of camping, I have never been yelled at. Not for one single thing. I am not the type of person who lets my kids run all over without supervision....nor do I get drunk late at night and blast my camper stereo so loudly that it's heard 5 sites away. Due to my completely honest experience as I have explained here, I give the campsite 1 star. Best of luck to you.
