We have been a family owned and run local business serving the greater Grand Rapids area since 1985!!!

Story

West River Carpets, Inc. has been a family owned business since 1985, founded by Patrick Martin and his son Dean. The store started as “Wheel and Deal Carpets” focusing on high quality remnants at a discounted price. Today, 28 years later, we are still family owned and run by brothers Dean and Jerry Martin, and brother in-law Steve Vankeuren. West River Carpets, Inc. is a full service flooring and design center offering a wide variety of products to meet all the needs of your home or business.

I came in to get only a small remnant for a small room. They spent tons of time with me to find me the best carpet for my room. The installation was professional and timely. My whole experience with this company was nothing but excellent. Thank you the next time I need flooring I will be back I'll be recommended you to others.

I am sooo pleased with my carpet from West River Carpets! The carpet looks absolutely superb and the installers went above and beyond answering my questions, explaining things to me and with their installation. I would and will recommend West River to anyone looking for carpet and for doing future rooms in my home.

definitely worth stopping in ! We were driving between box stores when we spotted west river carpets . Miss Erin ( part of the family that owns west river carpets) helped us, she showed us discounted remnants (they had about a hundred of them ) and in stock carpets . we selected a rennet for our master bed and master closets and also a beautiful in stock berber for out living room ,and there best padding for both rooms . We tore out our own carpet to save some $, when doing the tear out we found a bad floor board that needed to be replaced. I called the store to let them know we needed to split the install into two separate days so i would have time to replace the wood . they did this no problem no extra charge . Both Kurt and Paul were excellent installers they did great workmanship and cleaned up afterwards . We had what i considered to be a difficult install in our living room two angled step downs and a round fireplace hearth to work around as well as a patterned carpet to be installed in one piece , Paul pulled it off. so instead of a good carpet a a good price with a crap shoot install from a box store. We got excellent carpet at a good price with excellent install from west river, i think we actually paid less then we would have at Lowes even with all there specials going. Its so nice to experience legitimate good service . thanks so much Shawn and Naomi Kenyon
