WATC was founded in 1998 to provide high school juniors and seniors free college classes which lead to training in a variety of technical areas.
WATC provides high school juniors and seniors with the unique opportunity to attend college while concurrently enrolled in high school. By attending WATC's classes at UA-Fort Smith, students are able to work toward a technical certificate, associate's degree, bachelor's degree, etc. The ten basic programs offered include automotive technology, CADD, criminal justice, early childhood education, electronics technology, graphic design, health, information technology, engineering, and welding technology.
