I went to Western Wisconsin Health recently because I was having extreme dizzy spells and disorientation; they discovered that I had Labrynthitis. After a couple days of it cleared up, but I was so relieved to know what was happening to me! The nurse was extremely personable and the Doctor I saw knew the right kinds of questions to ask to diagnose my illness quickly. She even prescribed something to help with my dizzy spells so I could continue to work. Very impressed with the knowledge, accuracy, and compassion that I received and will continue to receive my care from Western Wisconsin Health!

My wife has been seen for her diabetes. She has been moved from at least 4 different doctors and a "diabetes coach". All that has happened is her sugar levels shot up to twice what they should be because they keep screwing around with her meds. Nobody can make a decision. Now she has large soars on her feet and can hardly walk! Wouldn't send her back here if her life depended on it! These people have no idea what they are doing!

I cannot express how great fun I am for the staff at this hospital! My 3 month old had to stay over night and we got treated like royalty. Rita the nurse we had was AMAZING she went above and beyond to make sure we as parents were comfortable. The respiratory guy Jesss was also an amazing staff member he did everything he could to make sure my son was able to go home healthy again I am forever greatful for him and all his hard work.

I’ve visited the emergency room a couple of times. I had visited for severe swelling in my right index finger after two weeks of being bitten by a dog. He did a small test and said it was celulitis. He gave me a prescription for antibiotics and told me to take ibuprofen and I would be fine. Two weeks past and it didn’t get better, so I went to my primary doctor in Menomonie Mayo health clinic. She looked at for five minutes and demanded an X-ray... the X-rays showed I had osteomyelitis ( a bone infection) from the dogs bacteria traveling into my bone. I had a hole that was over a centimeter, had he caught it sooner I may have been able to just take antibiotics instead of having surgery, 6 weeks of IV antibiotics, and a big ole scar on my finger. I feel like if the doctor had taken time to run a couple more tests he would have found the real problem. My boyfriend just went in for chest pain, the doctor seemed half asleep and seemed like we were interrupting his night. Basically told us, nothing was wrong with my boyfriend and it wasn’t a matter for the emergency room, told him to take ibuprofen and he will be fine in two weeks. Mind you it was the same doctor that I had and I cannot  help but have trust issues after my case.... just wish we wouldn’t have felt like a burden for coming in.. Although, I did have all of antibiotics injections done at the radiation center of Baldwin, all of the ladies were fantastic let me and who ever was with me feel right at home. The ladies at the front desk were always welcoming as well and even wrote a note saying goodbye with snacks for me :)

We saw Stephanie Waterman in Saturday clinic for our son who was quite sick. We were able to get in last minute but still had a short wait time. All the staff were very nice and attentive. Stephanie was very thorough, listened to our concerns, and came up with a plan with us. She even called to check on our son twice in the next few days following. We were very impressed with our care.
