Mission

Mission: Keeping people in all Eau Claire City/County communities safe and healthy.

Vision: The Eau Claire City-County Health Department will be widely valued as a key partner responsible for keeping Eau Claire City and County healthy and safe. The department will demonstrate strong community leadership.

Staff and volunteers will have a strong sense of moving forward to address current and future needs and will not rely on past approaches to meet new challenges. The staff will be strong, well-trained, focused, and engaged.

The facilities and staff will be warm, welcoming and accessible for clients. The facilities provide an atmosphere in which staff can do their best work.

There will be few structural, functional or fiscal barriers to carrying out our mission of keeping people safe and healthy. We will use current technology and approaches to increase service efficiency and effectiveness. We will have time and funding resources that allow us to provide the essential public health services. We will have funding streams that can be used flexibly to meet community health priorities.

There will be ample evidence of collaboration across disciplines and programs internally, and with partners externally. We will actively engage our customers to develop solutions to public health challenges.
We will participate and collaborate in creating a stronger evidence base for public health systems and practice.

Because of these actions and attributes, the Eau Claire City-County Health Department will be recognized as a premiere health department in Wisconsin.
