I absolutely wish the workers at this place actually were helpful. I call and leave messages for the medical assistant and says she needs 24hours to call me back..which is fine but she does not call back.  I get different answers from everyone when I call about the same thing.  They just seem to not care about their patients.

this place legit was the worst experience of my life. i had a walk in intake in august and didnt see anyone till december they kept calling and cancelling everytime i saw a therapist i was almost never allowed to talk because they were too busy talking about their procedures. you are required to go to group therapy no matter what and it only lasts about 2-11 sessions and in group you are not allowed to talk go figure... thye make you sit there like a bunch of children doing activities that do not help in my case with anxiety and PTSD making tree cut outs will not help me in my life i obviously am there for the help and they did not provide i was in their care since august 2016 and left in april 2017 only seeing one person a month if that and one person every 2 weeks if they dont decide to cancel. also every time i did see a therapist it was always a new person every time i went in id have to re explain why im there making absolutely no progress and the same goes with the psychiatrists someone new each time. which means i was a guinea pig for meds because one person wasnt there long enough to help. i recommend you try thocc outpatient they are absolutely amazing and you will get treated the way you deserve

This is the worst walk in you can go to avoid at all costs I’m serious you will be highly disappointed steer clear

Stay away from these people if you are a working professional going thru a crisis.  They left me hanging in the wind and did not follow up on my well being while I was in crisis.   This place mainly deals with court ordered offenders, addicts, etc. Head to the Institute For Living in Hartford if you need assistance. They are a much better mental health organization than Wheeler.  Unfortunately I had to learn the hard way.
