We had an emergency flood occur in the early evening and we called Whipple as first time customers. Since it was late in the day and they had another flood call right before us they said they couldn't come until late that night, but no one ever contacted me. I called again and left my info with what sounded like an answering service and still no one came. So we just had to live with our water shut off for the night and into the morning. In the morning I called again and spoke with a receptionist who was very kind and apologetic for the oversight. She said their technicians had gotten held up at the other job but that someone should have at least contacted me. I appreciated the acknowledgement of that instead of just blowing it off. They sent out the first available plumber that morning and he took care of everything. So despite not helping us late at night (which was understandable given the circumstances) everyone was very friendly and did a great job. I would definitely call on them again. 4/20/2018 Used Whipple again recently. Once again I’m not too impressed with the office staff, but happy with the serviceman. When I set up the appointment online I gave specific instructions to please not call me until after a certain time because I was at the doctors office and didn’t want to disturb others in the waiting room, but they called anyway. I also specified that they should call my phone number when they sent someone because I was the one at home, but they called my husband at work. It’s forgivable but a little sloppy. Robert Blotter was great to work with, fixed our burst pipe in a good amount of time, and gave clear advice on preventing the problem from happening again. He was respectful and efficient.

It was easy to schedule. They called 30 minutes prior to arrival and arrived at the beginning of the arrival window. The work was done promptly and professionally. The professional that came to our home was very friendly and even let my kids watch while he did his work. This was an extremely smooth experience. I recommend Whipple to anyone!

April 2018 - I recommend you do your research and get estimates before hiring Whipple. My 86 year old mother's water softener had a leak. She contacted Whipple last week. The technician came out and quoted her $3700 for a new water softener. She (luckily) was shocked with that price and would not agree to let them go forward with the work. She promptly googled the price for a new water softener and saw they were $1200-$1500 so she contacted my husband for advice. My husband called Whipple the next day and asked for an itemized estimate of the $3700 charges. They said "we don't do that". My husband informed them that without a written estimate we would not go with their company. They said "I'll talk to my manager and call you back". In the meantime, we sought two more estimates this week from other plumbing companies and both estimates came in at under $1800 for parts and installation. We still have not heard back from Whipple. I'm fairly certain either Whipple or their technician were attempting to defraud my elderly mother. Regardless, the fact that they refused to provide a written breakdown of their estimate backs up already suspicious behavior.

I am in the midst of a really unpleasant experience with Whipple Service Champions right now. I sincerely hope I have a much happier part 2 to write tomorrow. Yesterday, Brian Parker came to my house and was asked specifically to check out 3 different problems 1- My bathroom sink drain was broken 2- I was told by a home inspector to have a plumber check out the pressure in the shower and 3- The pipes to my Swamp Cooler had frozen over the winter. Brian came, piddled around a little bit, and gave my fiance a quote for over $350 just to fix the sink, with an additional amount (I think around $50) to put a new shower-head on. It was snowing, so he didn't even glance at anything to do with the swamp cooler (Is it unreasonable that I expect someone to just look in the attic space where all the pipes actually are?) My Fiance asked him to go ahead and fix the sink, but not worry about the shower-head. Brian was paid, then said he was going to go and get a part and come back and fix the sink. Brian never came back. I called Whipple when I got off of work and spoke to a couple of folks who apologized for the inconvenience and were very nice about the whole thing. They looked at Brian's report and said he had marked the job as "complete". I clearly said it was not, so they scheduled an appointment for the following morning. *Side note, Whipple, if you're looking at this - an 8-12 time frame is really inconvenient, ya'all need to work on that.* Right at my scheduled time the next morning I got a call from the Whipple dispatchers, saying that Brian's notes indicated that my Fiance had refused all services. The dispatcher also quoted me the prices for everything Brian had looked at, and it was a different price than my fiance was quoted yesterday. *Another side note here, I was on the phone with my fiance with Brian in the background when Brian was quoting the prices. I heard them, so I'm once again annoyed at the inconsistency of service here.* For whatever reason, the time I scheduled today wasn't good enough, so had to schedule ANOTHER appointment for tomorrow morning for a technician to actually come out and fix the problem. That's all for now, let's just hope that tomorrow I have a happier review.

Overall great experience! The home team called 1/2 hour before tech arrived, just like they said they would. The tech arrived on time, was very professional and thorough. Cleared the blocked drain, double checked with the camera scope, keeping me informed the whole time. Start to finish about an hour service call and cost me exactly what they quoted me which was very agreeable. I would definitely call on Whipple again but let's hope I don't have to for a while.... ;)
