"Farm-to-fork, garden-to-glass" restaurant that serves seasonally rotating, eccentric menus of cuisine and libations made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Open for lunch, dinner, happy hour and even brunch on the weekends too!

Story

We serve up tasty farm-to-kitchen dishes and cocktails, all made from scratch with ingredients sourced from local and regional farms and markets. We use slow-cooking methods on our wood grill and spit and in our smoker because it tastes better that way. Come dine with us at our communal tables, in one of our booths, on our sofas or rocking chairs, or perhaps on the porch next to the fireplace.

I judge all restaurants on one question, “is this place birthday worthy?” And the answer is YES! We come here every year for my wife’s birthday. 

Great food! Their beer and whiskey flights are legit! And you feel super cool just walking in the door. Ha. 

We love their whiskey cake! It’s the bomb!

The room we ate in today is great for private events. They even have a projector for a class or presentation. 

All in all, I have nothing negative to say about Whiskey Cake!! You must try it!

We've been here twice now and have had a great experience both times. Our servers have been Eric & Richard, both funny, friendly guys that were very helpful in assisting us in choosing drinks and food. We've had the fried green tomatoes and deviled eggs. Yum!! Of the several dishes combined that we've had, there was only one miss. I would recommend staying away from the steak. Two points I'll mention is that the sever suggested about four dishes tonight and that wasn't one of them. We also order steaks well done which I realize is a Texas no no 😁 The whiskey cake is fantastic. The caramel and cream sauces and the fresh whipped cream make it. We will definitely be working our way through this menu!

If you have not been here, this is a MUST. It has all of the bells and whistles. Cute, sophisticated atmosphere with their farm to table theme. Delicious, unique drinks that have fresh pressed juice. Food that is cooked perfectly, with amazing flavors, and presented in the most appetizing of ways. Don't forget their whiskey cake dessert-skip your diet if you dine here because it's the best dessert in the DFW area with their homemade whipped cream on top. 

This place also knows how to do the little things. Want ketchup? Great! They'll bring regular ketchup AND house made ketchup. Want something to go? Perfect! They'll box it up for you AND add your sauce and dip in the box in a little container. You can't go wrong here. If there's a wait, get a drink and sit on the cutest patio whether it be hot or cold outside. Your dining experience here is well worth the wait.

Whiskey Cake has turn one of my favorite place for brunch and dinner.  I love their farm to table menu. A couple of go to item is for brunch is the corn grits and biscuits with cheddar gravy. Trust me you never knew you needed them in your life. Dinner stable is the duck breast and pork steak. Both are cooked so well and come with amazing sides. Speaking of side dishes, the Mac and cheese stable. Of course, I order the whiskey cake for dessert with vanilla ice cream and fresh whip cream. They have and extensive whiskey selection but they also offer a nice selection of wine and beer. I would advise a reservation or call ahead to be place on the list. Enjoy!

Why have I not visited his place sooner? Food was delicious and the rustic smoke house vibe suits it perfectly. Visited this place for brunch and enjoyed the mimosa flight (grapefruit and pineapple were the best!), and the BELT, which I actually subbed the “B” for fried chicken.

The highlight was definitely the Whiskey Cake, now I understand why they named an entire restaurant for this dessert.

Will definitely be back!
