Great restaurant in the heart of Manhattan! Been there twice already and we‘ll most probably go again as long we‘re here. Best food we had in town with the best octopus I‘ve ever had in my life! Really recommend this place! The waiters Ali and Sirin are so friendly, you don‘t really want to leave the place! Thank you very much for the hospitality and the warm welcome!
We were looking for a place for our last dinner during our trip from Chicago to NYC. White Olive hit it out of the park! Absolutely stunning ambiance, followed by exceptional service and delicious cocktails and dishes. Don’t visit NYC without coming here - just a short walk from Rockefeller CenterFood: 5/5
Eating here is a unique experience. While dining about 85% of the population walking by were curiously peeking in. You can’t blame them, White Olive is decorated beautifully. There are a few reasons why I would recommend you coming here: The service is very good. Alé waited on my friend and I and was very honest about his lack of knowledge in creating some cocktails mixologist was out that day but proceeded to make excellent drinks and share great stories while being humble about it. The food was excellent. We enjoyed the crab cakes, tzatziki, lobster pasta and Branzino. The tzatziki + pita was my favorite choice of all. It was light and incredibly seasoned. Please come here if you love olives, and if you don’t you, will definitely fall in love with something else on the menu.
This was such a great find! Ambiance: The restaurant was beautiful! So perfectly decorated and such attention to detail. They have beautiful foliage and twinkle lights. The dishware and glassware matches perfectly with the theme of the restaurant. They also have really cute serving ware that enhances the dining experience. Food: Food was so good! The pita bread was perfectly cooked and came out fresh and hot. It had some really nice seasoning on it too. We ordered the 4 mezze deal and all 4 of the mezzes were excellent. It is really hard to pick one favorite so I’d say the two I loved the most were the White Olive Spicy Ezme and the Htipiti. We also got the Tzatziki and the Melitzanosalata and they were also really good. I will say that the White Olive Spicy Ezme is something unique that I haven’t found at any of the other Mediterranean restaurants we’ve been to in the city. We also good the salad and it had so many different fresh vegetables and the dressing was well seasoned. The Halloumi cheese was also a personal favorite. It was seasoned with capers and other veggies and a vinaigrette that added the perfect level of acidity. Service: The service was good, very friendly. It was a bit slow though. Price: The restaurant is on the higher end of prices but I wouldn’t say it’s unreasonable considering the portion sizes. This place was good. Small restaurant with extravagant plating. The wine was extremely overpriced, and even the food was a little too much. Tuna Tartar wad delicious. Seabass was good but the sides needed seasoning. Lobster pasta was calling my name and was delicious, though the lobster was overcooked. Not disappointed that we went but definitely spent some money.
The food here is one of the best Mediterranean I’ve ever had ,the service is impeccable and the atmosphere is pure class , it is a perfect fine dine…the servers there were soo good that they always checked in from time to time to see if we needed anything or everything was fine.. the servers names were Ali and Baba I believe..there was one dish which was their specialty cheese dish, it was soo tasty and goes by their name white olive course of the olive oil they used in it.. I will be back here soon
We came to White Olive this past weekend as a large group of 11 people to celebrate a birthday, and we’re taken care of very well. To start, the place has a very clean and beautiful aesthetic. The manager and staff were excellent! They were very attentive to us, to the details of our orders, and the service was great. As we were trying to figure out how we wanted to order the mezzes, appetizers and drinks for our table, the manager, Baba, worked with us making suggestions to create a variety mix and ensure the perfect amount of food to start us off. Our table’s most loved menu items were the Shrimp Saganaki from appetizers, and the Filet Mignon, Branzino and Seabass from the mains. The Filet Mignon actually deserves extra mention because despite this not being a steakhouse we found it to be really excellent. It was juicy and cooked medium to absolute perfection, and very filling. I had a cocktail recommended by the manager that I loved and highly recommend. I can’t recall the exact name, but it’s the one with fig vodka and pomegranate juice and it’s excellent! Overall, we were very happy with our experience and the way the details were paid attention to and how well we were cared for by the manager and staff. The energy is very warm and they really care about the customer experience. Whether you’re just going for a nice meal or planning an event, definitely check them out!
An amazing restaurant all around! White Olive nailed the modern Mediterranean/Greek atmosphere in the looks of the restaurant. Such a beautiful space. The food was absolutely delicious! The dishes show so much attention to detail while having unique, out of this world flavors. The service was outstanding as well. Baba’s genuine care for the customer was superb. He did a great job of constantly checking in with us in addition to being as being so friendly and helpful. A hidden gem, will be returning!
What a beautiful restaurant. And really good drinks. The staff are so kind and friendly. Shout out to Ali for having the best customer service! My friends and I stayed at the hotel and we came down to get a drink on a daily. Lol It was good time in New York! Must try if you're there in New York.Food: 5/5
Mediterranean food with many options, great service, and beautiful setting. We found this place that was very close to times square and Broadway! Delicious Mediterranean food with pasta and other seafood options. We had the hummus platter with fresh pita. Also had the octopus salad which was refreshing and the octopus was tender. Would also recommend their cocktails, very strong and tasty! The staff was very attentive and gave great recommendations.
