The store is as bland as it could be. They say it is up-scale, but I beg to differ. In Connecticut, the stores are much, much nicer. In addition, the prepared foods were severely lacking for gluten-free vegans and vegetarians who want some protein. A simple dish with chick peas would do the trick...perhaps something Indian. The staff seemed friendly, but it would be nice to see more middle-aged workers since the community is jam packed with them. The worst thing was that most of the recycling area was dedicated to LAND FILL!!! Really? Shameful.

I went to their restaurant at the behest of my coworkers because their lunches were told to be fantastic.  I ordered their version of a Burger and fries. I ordered at 11:10 a.m., and at 11:45 had still not received part of my meal. 

As I walked out I told the guest services person about my experience. In a snobby tone, she asked me what I do about it. So, I'll tell you what I told her.

I want you to be better. Condescending tones, shoddy service, and mediocre food is not what sets you apart from any restaurants here in Sarasota. This town is filled with that nonsense. Make people want to eat there.

If you want a GOOD burger at a better price, go anywhere else but here.

A well received and needed addition in the ever growing UTC area. Beyond the traditional grocery store, Whole Foods serves up organic, gluten free, vegan & vegetarian groceries and food from their hot & cold buffet bars. They even have Happy Hour 4-7pm! Large suburban sized grocery. The only problem I foresee is people figure out how to deal with the "one way" entrances & exits. Hint: go around behind the store to the traffic light

Really nice looking store. The service was very friendly, the employees were attentive and answered any questions you had. The fruit and vegetables selection looked great and the hot bar food looked amazing.

Great New store!  Excellent fresh food and lots of natural whole foods.  A little expensive,  but worth the extra not to get chemicals and pesticide in your food.  Lots of organic.  Whole store set up to highlight the finest foods and products.
