Wilderness Park

Beautiful park! Been going there since I was a kid. Just hosted a baby shower there and shelter 2 was awesome... close to both the little lake and the playground. Helped that it was a beautiful day too. Cost me $104.00 for 4 hours at the shelter as a resident. You can get permits at Apollo Park where the new Parks and Rec office is located.

The park entry clerk very personable & friendly. The park itself was very clean. We enjoyed a great niece's B-day there today. 04/08/2018

Clean restrooms. Friendly crew. Sufficient police and security. $5 parking fee. Handicap accessible.

This park has really good walking trails. This place is very well maintained and the walking trails have good lighting.

All the years I had lived in Downey and had never been. It's a beautiful Park. Great playground for the children. Parking is $5 if you are not a Downey resident. If you are a resident please bring proof of ID such as driver's license or utility bill. Has a little late, great for picnicking.
