Olde English Faire - June 24th and 25th
Sound ye trumpets, shine thine armour, sharpen ye olde sword, lace thy corsets and braid thy long, shining tresses. Gather thy children and challenge your imaginations with tales from ye Middle Ages. The Olde English Faire returns for the seventh time to Wildlife Prairie Park on June 24, 25 & 26, 2016. This fundraiser for Wildlife Prairie Park pays tribute to the sights, sounds, aromas, speech and activities of the Middle Ages. Come cheer on steel fighters, jousters and archers as they compete in battles. There are over 30 different performances to enjoy and four of them have been named as best Renaissance Acts in the Country by Renaissance Magazine. Take in the tales, tricks, and tunes of roving story tellers, magicians, and musicians. Children can take the oath of chivalry. Watch the acrobats, musical acts and comedians amongst the flora and fauna of the park. You can shop with over 30 fine artisans for treasures galore…fine leatherwork, woodworking, glasswork and handmade jewelry, and more. There will be plenty of hearty food…yes the famous turkey legs are back, potato curls, homemade root beer, and other food and beverages offered throughout the Park. We have shaded areas to rest, restroom facilities, and free parking. Buy tickets on-line at https://shop.wildlifeprairiepark.org/Events.aspx

I love all the animals & trails. There's cabins to rent, biking & walking trails, & fishing. The restaurant is delicious. You can rent out the building for weddings or banquets. It's a great place for field trips & an activity room for kids to do projects & learn about animals. There's stroller & wagon rentals & wheel chairs if needed. There's playground equipment, a 50 ft slide, a train to ride, & lots of picnic tables to have picnics.

Good place for family fun. Go prepared take water and food along as there are very few options. It costs $9/person to get in!

Nice park with large enclosures for animals. The trails were pretty but full of cobwebs at every 10 feet. Although that's more a reflection on the lack of hikers in central Illinois!
