I had a long time mechanic who passed away. I was referred to Williams Auto Care and will be a long time customer.  They are fantastic.  Fair in pricing, detailed in their work and customer oriented!.  They identified future work, but did not proceed with the work!!  I appreciate that. They will get all my business.

I would like to respond to the review which described a billing error. We apologized to this customer for the mistake and refunded the money. Several things led up to this situation. We had just installed a new computer program and added new staff to our office. Further, our new system had gone down. I did not realize the billing error until the next day when the system was restored. I immediately contacted the owner and reimbursed her.

Our comprehensive vehicle inspection and oil change service has been carefully developed over the last 43 years. We have kept our customer's vehicles in excellent condition for many years.

I received prompt, excellent service. I got an oil change and a comprehensive inspection of my vehicle. I will return to William's Automotive Care Sonoma for all my auto maintenance needs.

Zero respect for a customer's time, expensive.

After assurance that my vehicle would be worked on during the time frame available, I dropped off my truck on a Saturday to be picked up on Wednesday afternoon (the days of my vacation, since the truck is my daily driver).  They were to diagnose and repair a brake issue and repair an oil leak. I was to receive estimates on Monday via telephone.

1. I received not one single call from the shop, even after calling in multiple times.
2. Upon calling them 3 times on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, I determined that they hadn't even looked at my vehicle until the day I was coming home (Wednesday, after being in the shop since Saturday).
3. Upon picking up my vehicle I was told there was no brake problem that he could detect, but of course upon driving away I immediately felt the RWAL still malfunctioning (power unit pulsing and brakes letting off at stops - friggin dangerous!)
4. The oil leak to be fixed was ignored and went unrepaired (though I was told it was a coolent leak, not oil.....When asked why it wasn't fixed they had nothing for me...they just didn't do it).

The one thing they did was a smog.  Basically they don't care if you're busy or not, if they think there is any chance they'll get to it, they'll sit on your vehicle until you pull it out; if you pull it out before they do any work, no sweat to them. 

I'll not be going back.  No clue how this method has worked for them for so long.
