My only regret is that I didn't connect up with Dr. Strait much earlier. Most of my prior dental experience is of a corrective nature and not preventative. This meant my dental health unnecessarily deteriorated for decades. Dr. Strait's approach is very proactive and helped my understand what my options were including the cost and benefits of each so that I could make an informed decision. He and his staff explained the importance of home care and recommended a home care regimen that allows me to take real responsibility for my own dental health. My plan is to optimize by dental health allowing me to keep my teeth for the rest of my life. These folks care about me and it shows in their service.

Dr Straight is the only dentist i will ever go to! He is a problem solver and a perfectionist. When I first moved to Wilton I went to a dentist who told me to go get my tooth pulled and get a implant. Dr. Straigh saved my tooth with a root canal that saved me so much money and it is perfect and never have any problems with that tooth....I recommend him to all my friends and if you ever have a problem you want him on your side!!!

Dr. Vandiveer Strait of Wilton is an awesome dentist and overall disease prevention coach. In my experience, this is a RARE combination. I say this, because despite having what I’ve always felt to be excellent dental care throughout my life, I nonetheless developed a preventable dental condition: moderately severe gum recession. It was not until I came under the care of Dr. Strait that a complete understanding of gum and dental health began. That’s because Dr. Strait took the time to sit down with me and – using props and graphics and videos and a very patient attitude – made sure I understood the cause of dental disease, how to eliminate the cause, and what I needed to do in order to prevent my gums from receding further. I listened like I had never listened before. Why? Because Dr. Strait also made sure I really understood what could end up happening with my dental health as I age if I did not take measures now to address the underlying problem. Wow. It was a tough lesson. But boy was I glad someone made the effort to give me such a valuable education, the kind of education that feels empowering. Because no one wants to be told only after it’s too late that she could have done something to avoid her health problem. That’s a bitter pill to swallow. And Dr. Strait knows that. And he hates it when he sees that look on a patient’s face. That’s why he works so hard to educate his patients and empower them to take control of their dental health before it is too late . . . before the only options left are invasive and expensive, not to mention painful. Dr. Strait also takes care of my two children. My daughter and I have both had our alignments corrected with Invisalign under the care of Dr. Strait. My son is scheduled to start his Invisalign this year. I’m so happy I found Dr. Strait. My teeth look and feel great. My gum recession has been addressed. And my children’s dental health is in the best of hands.

DON'T GO HERE! If there was a lower rating, I would give this office that. 1. They lied to me BLATANTLY about being an in-network provider for my insurance, which is absolutely unethical and horrendous. They should be glad I'm not escalating this to a legal issue. 2. When I tried to get my dental records from them to see if I can take them to another dentist (because they lied to me and because their charges are astronomical), Dr. Strait called me directly and almost threatened me that if I don't come to his office for my teeth, I'll be screwed. Once it became clear to him that I was going to switch services, he said "Whatever" and rudely hung up on me. 3. This is the kind of office where they'll send you to hell and you wouldn't even notice. Everyone smiles and says sweet things, in the process robbing you blind. One simple example: one hygienist, Tiffany, trying to sell me a Sonicare toothbrush "on discount from $116" for $88. On Amazon, I saw the same toothbrush for $67. Seriously? We live in the age of smartphones, Dr. Strait and company! Literally, everyone there seems to be a wide-smiled liar, most importantly the doctor himself. They'll give you a huge ass bill and then be really rude when you actually see the light and want to not use their services anymore.
