Most annoying hardware store ever.  Can't even walk in to grab something without each employee approaching you asking if you need help.  I don't know if they are that terrified someone or will steal or what.  Feels more intrusive than helpful.  Let a person breathe and take a second to decide which product they want instead of swarming them multiple times. I'd rather drive much further to Lowe's.

I visited Wood True Value on several occasions; everytime the staff has been friendly and helpful.  They have for the part reasonable prices on yard equipment.

Have shopped here for years. My son was there ~2 hours ago, picked up a drain removal wrench & a couple of other things. Wrench turned out to be the wrong size. Lost the receipt. They would not accept the return without a receipt. Won't do business with them again...

Honestly the only reason I go here sometimes is because it is closer than Home Depot but I don't think I will anymore. The employees are friendly and helpful, but the owner/manager is a jerk. The employees clearly don't like him, and he was even unpleasant to me as a customer. 

Most hardware stores offer a military discount, so I simply asked the manager/owner if this store did as well. Instead of simply saying "no" or "sorry" he said "how bout this, I'll take 10% off and then you give it back to me" apparently he was a vet too and didn't think he owed me anything, I don't think I'm owed anything I simply asked if they offered a discount. 

Small stores like this should survive on customer service and word of mouth, but with everyone so helpful at home depot and always friendly I see no reason to support an owner who doesn't care.

I have used them many times in the past and always had a great experience till today.  I wonder if they have new owners or management.  I reserved a truck a week ago.  I got the paperwork and everything was fine.  Then less than 24 hours before I am to pick up the truck a lady calls me to inform me they rented the truck to someone who wanted it for four days.  She said She had found another truck but I would have to go get it.  When I explained this was unacceptable because they were going to charge me for the extra miles I would have to pay for to go get it and return it, she got belligerent and informed me she had done all she can do and was hanging up on me.  This person has no business dealing with the public and Woods should be ashamed to have her representing them.
