They allowed my 9yr old son to come home halfway through his treatment plan. They were aware of his manipulative behavior and never even addressed his psychological trauma from the abuse of his biological father. They just said he had been acting good so there was no need for further treatment at their facility. They have a progressive level system, that goes to level 5. After being there 5 months he made level 2, then 2 weeks later was bumped to level 3, and then 2 weeks later they sent him home. We were told they would start trauma therapy at level 4, but he never reached level 4. In their packet it says they have to reach their goal of level 5 to be set home, yet he came home at level 3. Now he is about to have to go to another facility to get the help he desperately needs. He has actually esclated his violent tendacies and behavior. His discharge had him diagnosed with 6 disorders including ODD, PTSD, ADHD, Conduct Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and Depression, yet they sent him home on just a sleep medication. They took him off his other medications because he was doing good and they didn't see a need to continue them. 6 months of my sons life wasted. The staff were lazy, unorganized, rude for the most part during family visitation (which only 2 at a time are allowed to go in and he has 3 brothers and a sister, so my wife and I had to divide up and take each sibling in individually. My wife and I never got to go in and visit with him at the same time. There are no exceptions!) And most of all, nearly everyone there is incompetent. If your child needs real HELP, there are plenty of other options besides Woodridge.

I called in to speak to them about getting treatment for a person with sexually maladaptive behavior and the male who answered the phone chuckled and said okay hold one moment. I do not think that anyone who works in this field whether they understand or not what someone is talking about should have laughed or chuckled on the phone to someone looking for help. This type stuff is not a laughing joking matter.
