Story

Woodrow Wilson High School is a secondary school in Washington, D.C. It serves grades 9 through 12, as part of the District of Columbia Public Schools. The school is located in the Tenleytown neighborhood, at the intersection of Chesapeake Street and Nebraska Avenue NW. It primarily serves students in Ward 3, although nearly 30% of the student body live outside the school’s boundaries. The school building, built in 1935 and extensively renovated in 2010–2011, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. The school was named for Woodrow Wilson, the 28th president of the United States, who was not only a highly regarded academic but the only president to have earned a PhD. The school's motto, "Haec olim meminisse juvabit," is a Latin phrase from Virgil's Aeneid; after a storm, Aeneas tells his men that "In days to come, it will please us to remember this."HistoryEarly yearsWoodrow Wilson High School was built on a patch of land acquired in 1930, known by the neighboring Tenleytowners as "French's Woods". In March 1934, the D.C. commissioners awarded the contract to build Wilson to the lowest bidder, McCloskey and Co of Philadelphia. It was built for a total cost of $1,250,000.

Your teacher John Wright is a sexual predator and says the n word daily. Many kids complain but know one cares. He sexually assaulted 2 girls when he was in highschool. He went to bcc in Bethesda. Please put a stop to him. Jon wright is his name. He is in his late 30’s now. He is a sexual predator.

let me first start off by saying I go here but its too late to move out but I'm writing this so young kids could save them selfs. 1) most teacher take 2-3 weeks to respond or do something when emailed they also take 2 week to update the grade bookend when students complain teacher act like its the students fault. 2) crime runs rapid in the school students don't respect one another, theft is a big thing at the school and it leads students to be on there toes and when it happens to your kid no one will help, deans would make false promises of getting your stuff back and when you take matters in your own hands the deans threaten you with suspension.

Depending on your teachers you can succeed in the school. I love arts /music and Languages so I've been with the same teachers for 4 years. Overall I love Wilson it's very diverse and teachers actually help you to over your grades. If you build a strong relationship with your teacher they can help you improve your grades. Make good connection with the principal she's always trying to get involved. #Classof2017
