My daughter just had her braces removed after 2 years of braces. I cannot say enough about Dr Woods and his staff. Dr Woods is very knowledge about Orthodontics and put myself, my husband and my daughter at ease with a very complex treatment. My daughter has actually enjoyed having her braces and always looked forward to her appointments and talking with the assistants. We will be starting our son in the spring and look forward to another great experience.

WORST treatment I have ever received by a physician and their staff. They should not be allowed to work on children. When my daughter complained that she was feeling pain and that they were being rough she was met with a horrible attitude and intimidation. They hold grudges if you speak up or complain and Dr. Woods does not hold any of his staff accountable. I do not know who is worse the staff or Dr. Woods. We are disgusted by he treatment we have received and we were forced to make a move to another orthodontist office where our daughter and ourselves will be treated with respect and compassion. At Woods Orthodontics you will be treated as just another number not a patient, they do not care about establishing a relationship with the patient. When we tried to address our concerns not only did Dr. Woods not apologize or even try to make things right, they kept all the money we had paid in advance. By far the worse, from the miserable staff at the front desk to the doctor himself. It is really mind blowing that he chooses to run his office this way and gets away with it. I hope my experience can save someone else, specially with children, who have invested all the time and money that orthodontic treatment requires from having to experience what we have at the hands of Dr. Woods and his staff.

I was a patient of Dr. Woods and was always treated well. Had braces and am very happy with the results.

Absolutely Terrible, read my full review below. About a year and a half into treatment I started getting TMJ/TMD symptoms such as clicking, grinding and locking on the right side of my jaw. I never had TMJ/TMD symptoms until I started braces. I told Dr Woods that my jaw didn't feel right and explained to him my symptoms, he dismissed them as "normal" and told me they were possibly caused by clenching. As time went on the symptoms got worse and my bite didn't feel good either. Finally the braces came off after a little over three and a half years. My smile and teeth looked "good" but my bite and the pain in my jaw were making me miserable. I brought this up with Dr Woods repeatedly but he had little to offer in terms of what was wrong or how to fix it. Then my regular dentist noticed and told me that some of my front teeth showed severe bone loss and were loose. She said I must be "hitting very hard on my front teeth" to make them that loose. To make matters worse these teeth in the front, the ones that gave me a nice smile started shifting about a year after braces even though I wore my retainers and had a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth! Dr Woods told me it was "tounge thrust" that was causing my teeth in the front to shift. But this along with my other symptoms made me think that something wasn't right, something more than "tounge thrust" and "clenching". Not getting satisfactory answers from Woods I went to other orthodontis and TMJ/TMD specialists across the Cape and Boston to see if they could give me a second opinion. Finally I was told by a specialist that "You have no contact with your molars". And that "all of your contact is with your front teeth". The specialist told me the lack of contact with my molars explained my TMJ/TMD symptoms because my jaw muscles had to compensate for the lack of bite, and it also explained the shifting and the bone loss of my front teeth due to all the bite force being directed there. The specialist told me that the way my teeth were aligned also pushed my jaw to the right when I chewed causing further trauma to my right condyle and surrounding musculature. Why "Dr" Woods a supposedly trained Orthodontist couldn't see this is beyond me. Talking with "Dr" Woods is like talking to a wall and I am currently trying to fine a competent orthodontist to fix what "Dr" Woods did. Interestingly I stoped wearing "Dr" Woods retainers and many of my symptoms have gone away or lessened despite my teeth being in a worse position then they were to start with. I even have some contact with my molars now despite not receiving any further treatment by an orthodontist. Without the use of Woods retainers my teeth are aligning themselves back to a more stable position albeit slowly. So in conclusion if you want to spend $5K+ and years of braces to end up worse than when you started then "Dr" Woods is your guy.
