Pleasant experience! My boyfriend and I showed up in the late morning/early afternoon and rented 2 bikes. Woody made sure the bikes fit us and thoroughly explained how to safely operate them. We were grateful for this later on during the ride. We were impressed at how nice the bikes were- the gap trip is no joke and I am thankful we were on bikes that were good enough to get us through it! I will say... we are from Florida and had no idea what we were getting into (15 mountain miles!!) thankfully we were fit enough to get through but many times we considered asking people for rides! Ha! Glad we didn't though because it felt awesome to know that we completed it. However, we had AWFUL weather. It rained on us pretty much the entire time (didn't realize this going into it) and even though we didn't have service, Woody had tried to call several times to check and see if we wanted him to come get us. I thought this was super considerate. Then, when we got back, he had towels waiting for us and gave us some suggestions on where to eat (by the way- good advice, Bigg daddy's was great)! Overall, a really good experience and I am glad we rented through Woody's!

A group of 3 of us took a shuttle from Woody's today and it was great. Two were beginners that were renting bikes, and one intermediate level mtb'er with his own bike. Mr. Woody took the time to explain how the bikes worked. Stressing safety topics. Then the ride was great and absolutely as described. He didn't pedal for us but it was very pleasant. The bikes that were rented were nice/newer bikes and not old abused bikes. I will be back when in Helen if to do nothing more than say hello and buy a spare tube. Thanks.

Very nice owner! He made sure to show us exactly where we were going, how the bikes worked, etc. My husband and I rented bikes and went down the 'Gem' trail on a Saturday late morning/early afternoon. It took us 4 hours. It was a beautiful ride! And I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. I would just be more prepared knowing that it was more difficult than I originally anticipated. And believe me, it's a pretty difficult ride! We walked a lot of the hills!! Thanks for the fun while we were camping at Unicoi!
