I had a family friend work on my transmission and as soon as I drove off my transmission started acting up right away. I was told by this family friend after paying him 300.00 that I needed to have him rebuild my transmission which was going to cost me an additional 1800.00. Needless to say I wanted a second opinion so I took my truck to Yates and they ended up replacing the part that the friend of the family had rebuilt and it is now 1 1/2 Years later and my transmission is still working fine... Thanks Yates for saving me a load of money and helping me to see who my friends are.

Absolute best transmission facility in Columbus Georgia/ Phenix City it is family owned and operated great prices I have used Gary Yates for 25 years and I have never brought a transmission back for any reason,  problems or complaints

Yates transmission is the best transmission shop in Columbus!!...period!! I was referred to them by a friend of mine that told me to try them out before I took my vehicle anywhere else and I'm Shute glad I did!!! I am so impressed with the transmission rebuild on my Chevy 3500 work van it shifts so smooth!! But not only that but mr. Yates has got to be the nicest and easiest guy to talk to in the industry!!! I cannot recommend these guys enough and will ONLY use them from now on!!

Gary Yates the owner was very knowledgeable and approachable. He replaced the torque converter in my taurus on time and below budget and now everything is perfect.
