Do not listen to the negative reviews on here. This is the most underrated attraction I've ever been to. The staff was impeccably inviting and talked me into buying some peanuts, corn and carrots to feed the animals. I spent hours throwing peanuts to bears (who'd catch them at will) and corn to goats, donkeys, bison and many more animals. on my way out, they gave me more corn, so I could spend even more time on the trail. I plan on returning in the very near future. Go to this game ranch. You will not be disappointed.

Yellow River Game Ranch is a must see place. If you have kids or if you are just bored I recommend this place. I take my kids and their friends here at least 3 or 4 times a year. They sell pre-packaged stuff to feed the large variety of animals with such as bags of peanuts, carrots, corn, crackers etc. It's very fairly priced too. The ranch is home to many abandoned, injured or somehow weakened animals as well as a bunch of normal animals. The goats and black bears are the highlight in my opinion. The goats will make you leave your worries behind because they are comedians. Goats are amazing. They have giant pigs and tame squirrels that will eat peanuts from your fingertips. The deer roam freely and are not scared of humans ... etc... highly recommended place.

I remember coming here as a child. I don't remember if I was 10 or even younger . That was at least 27 years ago. I thought to myself ,I'd love to work at an animal sanctuary . I looked up this place because I remember coming here as a child. It's sad that it doesn't have very good reviews . I wish I could just go work there and help make everything better with others help of course. The reviews make me sad...I was thinking I'd like to come visit because it's been so long.

This has become Juliette and Granny's favorite place for together time. It's a mini petting zoo and nice nature walk. The staff are super friendly and accommodating.

The animals are kept in horrible conditions. No fresh water or bedding in any of the cages. We had visited several years ago and enjoyed the interaction with the animals. Today I was saddened and even cried when I saw how poorly some of the animals looked. I was ashamed that I took my children to see this. When I asked the lady how the proceeds were used and if there was a veterinarian on sight she didn't understand the word proceeds and snarled about how "wild animals don't need no vet care" I was horrified at her response as I remembered how the frail little fox was so sadly limping around his cage. The dnr would be doing those animals a favor by shutting that place down. The irony of all of the no refund signs made since considering there are hardly any animals there to interact with. They don't tell you that when you are paying $8.00 per person plus buying food that most of the animals didn't seem to even want. I honestly didn't let my children touch the ones they could because they did not seem healthy. Please don't support this place it is inhumane and the only way they will stop is if people stop visiting. Also if you are allergic to poison oak or poison ivy you may want to skip walking the trails at all.
