Yelm School District, also known as Yelm Community Schools, is a public school district in Thurston County, Washington, US, which serves the city of Yelm.In October 2015, Yelm School District had a student enrollment of 5,708 with 51.6% being male and 48.4% female. the student enrollment was 5,696.In 2017, Assistant Principal Craig Curry of Yelm Middle School started a program called pride circles to increase student self-confidence.

This is such an amazing school. Despite what many of the other closeminded students state, it truly is a great school. I'll start with the fact that they have great teachers and staff in general. There are very inclusive clubs to take part in, great sports teams, and it's a positive place. Most of the students treat each other kindly, and if not, they'll be dealt with. Although this school is very nice, it has its flaws like everyother thing. The school is a bit old (which they were going to change) and the bathrooms need upgrades. Some of the students don't get punished for their acts, but it rarely happens. To conclude, I certainly do enjoy attending this school as a 7th grader, and would be so very grateful if I could next year as well!

out of all my schools that i had gone to, this school is the worst. aside from the library,some teachers and new friends, this school......SUCKED! i did not like more than 3 days here. the bathrooms were awful, some of the staff were not helpful and it was not at all a pleasant, it was a bad one. whenever i got to go home, i was relieved. don't go to this school.

The bullying at this school is out of control and administration does nothing about it. Students in wheelchairs get slapped by others, students tell others to go kill themselves, and often mock one another about sexuality. I reported it to the school, and found out that the students I reported were not even spoken to by the office. Stay far away folks.

This school is really awesome. The staff that are here are extremely helpful, including the coaches. There are a lot of opportunitys to get caught up on some work that needs to be finished. Love YMS

I don't know what it is about this last year, but the faculty here are absolutely horrible. They are quick to place labels on your kids and play favorites. Nevermind they obviously take no heed to student safety ad I have repeatedly seen some teachers speeding through the parking lot. Once a teacher nearly hit my son with her car.
