This place has fantastic gyros. I've tried a couple different menu items and have never been disappointed by the food. The best part about Yia Yia's is the atmosphere. I believe it's the owner always behind the counter taking orders, but after only a visit he already remembered my friend and I and always goes out of his way to be courteous. One of my favorite places to eat in Beltsville.

First time coming to this place and we honestly enjoyed the food, it definitely is vegetarian friendly. Only caveat is that it was a bit on the saltier side (the zucchini fritters and the falafel). Other than that, we also tried the baklava and it was delicious!! Would return as it helps to satisfy Mediterranean food cravings if you are in the area. Tip: Ask for their spicy sauce, it's got a huge kick to it but so good if you like spicy!

The food here is authentic Greek and the owner/manager is from Greece. Very friendly manager and he was helpful with choosing from their large selection. The manager told me that they are exploring more vegetarian options and that they will probably cut down the menu - this is due to the long wait during the lunch rush because it takes customers too long to decide what to get. The falafel gyro was very delicious, we did not wait long for the food. Yia Yia's Kitchen is an excellent place for lunch!

I was riding up route 1 in search of FOOD!  I needed a break from the norms.  I run across Yia Yia's Kitchen! Wooohooo! While it is very small and may seat about 20+ people, it is a beast when it comes to food. The lamb gyros were ah- mazing. Growing up in DC there was a place in Georgetown we'd frequent for gyros!  This taste just like my childhood favorite place.  It was so good, it made me giddy.  The moment you get to the cashier to order, you feel welcomed. TOP NOTCH customer will always win in my book. I most definitely will be going back.  Next time I'll take friends and we can order a bunch of stuff and share!   Great find, great food, check them out!

Very good food. Their lamb gyro was delicious. My reason for giving four stars is that I understand they occasionally shut down the restaurant for long periods of time to go back to the old country. So there's a chance you might not be able to eat there for weeks at a time.
