With many places being closed we were looking for a last minute place to swim and relax on Labor Day. We had come across Clearwater Park several times in our search and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately it really did not live up to the hype. For $11.75 a person you would expect a little better upkeep. Much of the pool has a green shade where algae is clearly growing. The life guards where also very upsetting. Several of them were more interested in each other and playing around than watching the safety of the pool. I gave three stars because it has potential to be a nice facility, maybe today just isn't the day.

Sites are very tight especially for the price. Our neighbors slide came up to us. There are only two restroom areas and one shower area. Very bad planning especially for those that don't have showers or tent campers. Both restrooms were very far and the closest only housed one commode for the large area. The ones near to the office and pool were much nicer but not convenient. The pool hours are not the best 11a - 7p ... would have liked a swim after we arrived but nope...closed once we got settled. The staff was very nice, the life guards were a tad standoffish. The pool is open to the outside, but the campers get no real benefits, like earlier entrance or later hours at the pool (heard the hours were because of life guard staffing). Clean park and a number of pull through sites.

We went to the Jellystone Park in Mount Gilead last year and has a good time, so we thought we'd try another. If we could combine the best features of both parks we've been to, it'd be great. The kids had fun, we made family memories, and that's why I gave it 4 stars. The cabin was quant, about what we expected it to be. Mosquitos were out, but hey, it's camping. We also got to see wildlife, including a bunny, chipmunk, and four raccoons. The pool was nice, and unlimited mini golf was a plus. The 100ft slide the website talks about, though... left a lot to be desired. The burlap sacks to ride down were left out in the rain, and the slide itself has seen better days. If you plan on utilizing their "free wi-fi," prepare to be disappointed. Even though devices said they were connected, there was nothing happening. This isn't necessarily a negative since camping is supposed to get you away from technology. We probably won't go to this one again, but will try other ones. Also, only being 20 minutes from the NFL Hall of Fame was nice. Would love to give 3.5 stars because it was fun, but could be better.
