What a great little beach!! It has 2 separate beaches right next to each other. It was busy but not overwhelming. The atmosphere was so relaxed and people were nice and having fun. A family beach!! We parked about a 5 minute walk away, on a side street for free. There are a few places to eat, but it has a quaint look and feel, never commercialized. I would like to go back again this summer ( 2018) We all had a great time!

Amazing to see all the siege lines that were dug hundreds of years ago by both the British and the Patriots. The signage gives you a good idea of how it all happened but the visitor center has a movie or two that will set the context for you. It's so easy to forget how much others have sacrificed. It gave multiple examples to talk with our kids about the importance of character and courage.

Closer to history than ever. With this visit we completed the tour of the first place where Britishers landed in America (Jamestown) and the last place where they surrendered (Yorktown). This is a beautiful, well maintained site where we take an hour long drive through battle fields. Welcome center has a nice museum, a theater and a cute gift shop with unique gifts. I highly recommend you visit Jamestown, Williamsburg, Richmond capitol building and Yorktown to round up the history. Great learning experience for kids and grown ups alike.

We only went to the visitor center but it was very nice. Military can see it free! They have a replica of a ship from the American Revolution and a tent used by George Washington. We also enjoyed the movie and walking through the gift shop! You can also take a driving tour of the battlefields but we chose not to.

Great place to take the family and learn about the history of our great country. Prices are reasonable too. I would recommend buying the combo ticket with Jamestown. It's more economical.
