Taste: 5/5 taste, we got a variety of different clay pots dishes pork spare ribs, chicken mushroom, sausage and various sides steamed egg, chicken feet, black chicken soup. All of them were flavorful, authentic, filling and well priced. Setting/Service: 5/5 setting and service. Chill and cozy dining area with exceptional service! Super nice waitress who was accommodating to all our needs. Overall: 5/5 highly recommend. Definitely a place worth checking out for a hearty meal.
Okay, so everyone and their mom basically saw Mikey’s review and flocked over to Yummy Rice to see what the noise was. I landed on this assumption as this was where I was mentally, and tallying up the recent reviews with all the same consensus. Mikey sure knows what a good time is, and by good time I mean a food coma led on by a hot stone bowl of goodness. If you’ve seen the review then you’re aware that Yummy Rice is a no frill, straight up mom and pop restaurant, off the strip in the middle of the tiny land of “China Town”. The brand sign is as masked as the menu would reveal. How complicated can a meal be if everything is served in a bowl alone? Well, welcome to comfort Asian meals. And this is by far what nostalgia is for me. I opted for the Chicken and Mushroom - $13.00 - while hubby ordered the Beef and Rice - $14 - I grew up with this dish, and this bowl had all the elements that made this remarkably homey. The soy sauce was the right amount of seasoning to mix the flavors in super well, the chicken was marinated and came out silky and tender. Each bite had great balance, and I left super fulfilled. It was hubz' first time having a stone bowl meal and I couldn’t highlight how delightful the crispness of the rice was. Pouring the soy sauce over the sizzling hot stone bowl really does make the meal so much more fun. Couldn’t go wrong with the portion to rice ratio. The pickled veggies were a great bite cleanser, on the other hand we both didn’t like the egg custard. It was bland and watery which made it unnecessary for us. Overall, good spot, great meal - Thanks Mikey for the recommendation!
One the best claypot rice that I've had. The three preserved meats is a solid choice. The meats are very flavorful and good will with the soy sauce that they provide. The steam egg and pickled cucumbers are also excellent. They are pretty quick at bringing the food out.
DELICIOUS! Honestly I wasn’t sure how claypot rice would turn out in a to-go setting. And i am pleased to say that Yummy Rice delivers! The rice came with crispy burnt bit at the bottom, along with peanuts and soy sauce condiments. Highly recommend this spot!
My called when she got off work to say she was headed to China Town! I want to try Yummy Rice for the first time and really didn't have a menu but knew I always loved Shrimp fried rice Saw a review that said try the Mushroom Chicken and OHhhMyGooodness!!!! EVERYTHING IS SOOO FRESH & VERY TASTY We live in Henderson so definitely worth the drive! I will be going back
Please avoid this place. Service is bad. It took me over 45 minutes for a pot. They miss my order until I point it out. The man is very rude and try to find excuse for their mistake. Food is bad. They use metal pot, not actual clay pot. The taste is not authentic as well. The rice tastes like plastic.
Ate on a Friday afternoon and ordered their claypot rice. Pictured is an egg custard and the beef short rib clay pot. Others at the table ordered the three meat and Japanese eel. Our meals were very delicious and filling. Our server Dora was very attentive and did an excellent job waiting our table! So wanted to give her some recognition.
Love these spots around Chinatown that break the mold off west people traditionally think of as Chinese food. Great service, great food, really clean and friendly environment. Will continue to come back!
Excellent and delicious food at a very pocket friendly price... Try their lunch menus, if you are there @ lunch time. But anything on their menu is absolutely tasty The rice is truly yummy ! and so is the rest of the food ... Don't miss out on this this place.
Tried out this place for the first time today. OMG! I ordered the pork belly. It was so good! Great customer services too. We will come back again.
