A great place for festivals. ACL has the layout n transportation to and from, down to a science. Well coordinated for all to enjoy. Be ready for a long, hilly-walk throughout the park. Wear comfy shoes and be ready for dust. Some people wear bandanas over their mouth n nose. It's preference, not necessary. Bring your patience, blanket n chairs as you enjoy the fun!

I've been coming here my entire life and now I get to share zilker with my own children. The playgrounds are amazing! Perfect for all ages since they have a few different options depending on age and skill of child. They are separated as well so you don't worry about little ones getting mowed down by big kids. Parking can be a bit difficult to find during busy times. Perfect for bringing the entire family(fur babies included) for a picnic lunch. During holiday seasons there is the trail of lights. Go take a spin under the big tree of lights! Austin city limits music festival will have the park closed down for a few weeks in the fall. Check events page to find out fun free things going on all year here. I love zilker park!

Great place to spend the day here in Austin! The botanical gardens were beautiful, although there are quite a few insects. The views are spectacular and the downtown area is just across the river. Will definitely come back again.

Very big park! We went for a free concert in the park. We love they do random things for free like this the place is pretty clean! Although some people were leaving trash on ground like cigarettes and things that I seen just wish people would not litter like that! Seems like it does get cleaned quite often though. We will definitely be going back!

First time at Barton Springs Pool and my family and I enjoyed it. Decent crowd but not overwhelming. However, the lack of signage caused confusion of where to buy tickets and where to park. Needs more ticket windows as there was only one person handling that job. Other than that, it was very enjoyable.
