Great place to visit and stay. Zucca W. has created a strong following Thanks to their outstanding quality of wines. Being a long standing Club member, our experience has been that Zucca Wines in many cases can be laid down for a while. Even "average" tasting wines (only reds) at the Tasting Room create a mouthful surprise if you have the patience to hold on to them for a bit longer. The result can be amazing. Suggest to ask and try a bottle that already has been open for a while. The Zucca Team is very kind, open and knowledgeable... you can't go wrong if you like the Wines/Style from the Southern Europe Hemisphere ...

We came here after a friend recommended it and because they had a few Italian varietals (Sangiovese, Barbera). The tasting room is downstairs with a rustic atmosphere. The person behind was friendly and talkative. He shared a few stories about himself and the wine making in the Sierra Foothills. The wines by themselves are decent but not that spectacular. Well made Barbera and Sangiovese but a bit pricey. The Chardonnay (only lightly oaked) was very well made and a good value. Worth a visit if you have a day in Murphys but there are more interesting and inspired wineries if you only have time for one or two (e.g. Newsome-Harlow, Lavender Ridge). Nice poppy labels. ;-))
