If you'd like to be waiting for your tax information the 2nd week of April, come here! They are awesome at being late and not responding in a timely manner. If you'd like to get your taxes done on time, go elsewhere.

Simply the best tax service in North Atlanta, maybe GA. This is not a seasonal shop setup just to meet a peak in demand with staff that was hired a month before and given a crash course in how to prep taxes with software you could use at home. This is a professional service, owned by a gentleman with many years of big 6 experience (big 8 back then, is it big 4 now?). You see the same faces each year and the owner is there checking each return. Yes, you sometimes have to wait; but that's because they take the time to make sure you get back the largest and most accurate refund. The time they take with the appointment before yours is a testament to the time they take working on yours. If they weren't so good, they wouldn't be so busy. Make your appointment, it will be well worth it.

I needed a CPA letter. After talking to several CPAs who would not help me I called Tim at 1st Source. He was very helpful and understood what I needed. We was also less expensive than other CPAs if they were going to help me. I intend to have 1st Source prepare my business taxes.

Save yourself the hassle. First, I have had First Source prepare my taxes for 4 years. In fairness, I found Tim and Janet are very knowledgeable, however they are terribly disorganized and as a business have zero customer service skills. After expressing concern that I was paying $300 to have a student assistant prepare and review my taxes with me, I explained to Tim, the owner, that this was unacceptable. He disagreed and wanted to argue instead of come up with a solution that worked for both parties. Instead, they wasted their time preparing my tax return and I told them forget it. After jumping through hoops for the last time with these guys and paying above average prices for a CPA, I fired them today (1 day before tax day!). If I'm going to pay a rate above the average rate for a CPA, I at least expect to get treated decent. I can get someone more qualified than a student assistant at H&R block for $100.

Tim has been preparing my taxes for 6 years now. He takes the time to review my returns with me personally before filing to make sure it is complete and accurate. I would recommend 1st Source to anyone.
