Absolutely the best food in Newton! The owners are super friendly and take the upmost care of their customers, while some complain of service and wait remember everything is made from scratch and to order. Go with some great friends grab a cold (sweet tea is the best) order some food and relax.

Great place. Chicken and waffles delicious. Empanadas also delicious. Coffee has a hint of cinnamon which makes it tasty. Definitely coming back.

This place is such a gem. Owner is so sweet, and service is amazing! Went with the family for lunch and everyone was completely satisfied. The children's menu is perfect especially if you have a picky eater like my girls. My husband had the chicken and waffles, I have never seen him so content. The pork tacos were delicious, the maduro on it was a game changer! Highly recommend this place. Don't expect a quick fast food type service, everything is fresh and the wait (considering what we ordered was not long) is well worth it. We will most definitely be back for more wonderful food.

I really want to like 4 chicks. The food is delicious. The best empanadas I've ever had. But the customer service is horrendous. When they first moved to their Spring Street location, I and three of my friends went for Sunday brunch. It took 2.5 hours to get our food. We tried to be understanding, but for our efforts we were lectured by the owner about "kids who don't appreciate food made from scratch and only want a fast food restaurant". I understand that the food is made from scratch and that they were getting used to their new kitchen, and we didn't even criticize, but she was overly defensive because she knew it was an excessive amount of time. They had since hired more staff and seemed to be doing better with getting their orders out in a timely fashion. I and a party of 7 more of my friends went again, to attempt Sunday Brunch. The owner was overtly rude to us, saying that she cannot see us with out a reservation as she already had a large reservation coming in and they only have 1 party room. It is fine to not accommodate a large table without a reservation, we understood that that may happen which is why we attempted to get there when it opened, and would have been okay with being turned away, except it was in a very rude manner. So we instead walked down the street to a different brunch place. And the owner did not leave it there. She messaged me apologizing for the "misunderstanding" and said that she would have seen us, we did not need to go somewhere else. I told her we didn't not appreciate the attitude, and would have felt very much so like an inconvenience if we stayed. She then posted a passive aggressive status to the Facebook page saying that she will not accommodate a group of 6 or more without a reservation (but just told me that we didn't have to leave?). This is not how to operate a small business, especially with loyal, understanding customers. The food service is slow, drinks do not get refilled while you wait, the customer service is horrible (as noted above), and they are very unprofessional with their posted hours (opening late & closing early -- I'm not talking about when there are no people -- even when there are customers who would like to eat there). But if you're willing to put up with all of that, the food really is fantastic. But at what cost?
