Love the casual elegance of the Inn.  Clean, uncluttered, bright, cool design with neat and clever Americana-type decorations.    The theme carries across the lobby, hallways, rooms and the amazing great room restaurant/bar—an absolutely beautiful hang-out spot with comfortable leather couches, bar and ample seating for dinner.  We’ve had two wonderful dinners over the past few weeks—the food is terrific all around—with specials like duck and a nice wine selection--and engaging and personable servers add to a nice dining experience.  The breakfasts are a treat with maple bacon, freshly made breakfast sandwiches (primarily on weekends, I understand), delicious coffee and everything one would want in a first-class breakfast buffet.  And served in the gorgeous great room.   The view of the woods and the river is serene from the bedrooms.  Enjoy the large hot spa and pool.

I so want to love this place. You can tell they tried to make it unique with the furniture & decor, but the devil's in the details. The staff is great, the breakfast has vegetarian-friendly options and the amenities are wonderful. But that's where the praises end. We made our second visit on a free voucher from a previous bad experience there. So we had high hopes that almost a year later they would have all the kinks worked out in terms of building construction, proper staff numbers, etc. That was not the case. As soon as we check into the room, we find that the fridge wasn't cleaned out from the previous guest. Then we can't even close the bathroom door due to the shoddy construction. We go to the game room to find the pinball machine was out of order with a laminated sign (which makes me think it happens a lot). When the rate is as high as they charge, you have higher expectations than a Holiday Inn so the details matter. Sorry, 506 OTR, you couldn't win us back.😢

My husband and I visited the bistro for our anniversary meal. We were greeted with great service, amazing food, and a quaint atmosphere. Our cocktails were wonderfully crafted as well, and we would both highly recommend this cozy stop to anyone!
(We ordered the Tuscan pasta, local burger, and original vanilla bean cheesecake)

We stayed in one of the Farmhouse Suites, and in all aspects it was a very nice stay. I did a little bit of cooking in the kitchen, and all the equipment I needed was there. The decor was excellent, and certainly makes you feel at home. The only nitpick I have is that the shower in the smaller bathroom is a bit cramped, but other than that the suite was perfect.

Another highlight of the 506 is the 506 Bistro & Bar. In the morning, complimentary breakfast is served, which includes standard breakfast fare like eggs and bacon but also local specialties. In the evening, it turns into a sit-down restaurant which shares space with a lounge, along with a bar.

The hotel also includes other amenities such as a pool, a game room, and a gift shop. Overall, it is an excellent place to stay while you are in the area especially if you want to ski in the winter or visit the Quechee Gorge in the summer.

Beautiful inn with a view. Accessible to skiing if you're alright with a ~30 minute drive. Friendly personable staff and comfortable rooms.
