The 99 cent only store is no where close to 99 cents only anymore. It feels like one of those scam stalls are a flea market now with on of those guys chanting "1 dollar-1dollar-1dollar" and when you walk up and ask how much anything is the response is "Oh that's five dollar" or more. Now I used to understand it when they had bottles of wine or something, sure the idea is they're just getting it at a discount for you. But now they're selling bags of lays (Labeled king size which are actually just normal size) for their full MSRP of 2.49 a bag. They're just becoming a retail store now, selling normal products at normal prices. Yeah they still sell plenty for 99 cents... for now. But this trend will only worsen if people buy those things, and they'll probably go barren on the competition at one point just to try and force sell the full price goods. They used to have a HUGE isle of chips here, now it's just a single side of a single isle of a handful of choices. They're drink selection has dwindled too. I used to drop in to see what crazy and unique drinks they had, now it's just usually the same bundle of awful energy drinks and failed V8 juice flavors.

I expected a little bit more in the way of service but I guess that's just me...! Most of the employees were in there own little world but a few were the exception and that's the reason for the 3 Star Rate and Review. I was looking for a few simple inexpensive items, only to leave empty handed. Maybe it was for the better!

I can't believe some of the Halloween stuff there that is only 99 cents! Some of it is similar to things Wal-Mart is selling for $15+. I'm still giving 5 stars even though none of the employees were "helpful", because I used to work at a dollar store and it really sucks. Get yelled at by tweakers for 8 straight hours a day for minimum wage and then see if you want to approach anyone.
