A Tavola is a rustic Italian trattoria that keeps in the tradition of sourcing the highest quality local ingredients. With a focus on farm-to-table, the menu is seasonally inspired and includes fresh homemade pastas, breads, and desserts. Partners, Rosemay Smith and Nathan Ganio have a combined experience of over 30 years in Hudson Valley restaurants, and are now bringing their creative take on rustic Italian food, with chef Emma Rose and bar manager Kyle Miller.

Had a very nice experience here. The food was delicious! The menu is a bit different then a typical restaurant more of a traditional Italian in terms of the courses. My favorite was the Tortellini! Also the Beets and the Fish Special were amazing. This restaurant does not only offer great food but also a very elegant experience. They clear the tables down to the crumb between each course. They check in with you often but not overdone. Hope you enjoy!

This restaurant, in my opinion, is the best in New Paltz. Been to A Tavola a dozen times or more. It is called Italian but don't expect traditional Italian food. Do expect the best cooking fresh from the farm and large selection of fine wine for a region far from Manhattan competition. The service is impeccable. I recently brought a group of friends and the compliments on my selection were the best possible.

A Tavola is an awesome restaurant right in the heart of New Paltz. The ambiance is cozy, the cocktails are creative and delicious and the food is awesome. The antipasti special is always a treat (they change it every evening), the octopus and beet salad are also favorites and make sure you save some room for dessert! Also there's plenty of room to eat at the bar/in the bar area.

Fantastic service, excellent food. We enjoyed a little bit of everything the menu had to offer, but we especially enjoyed the squid ink pasta. The calamari was cooked to perfection and the food presentation was pristine. The wait staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. We asked our waitress to help us pair drinks with our meal and she did a great job. I will definitely be coming back.
