I used to live in New Paltz and I think about these doughnuts all the time. I have actually considered making the hour and a half drive there for the sole purpose of getting these doughnuts. I got half a dozen today while in town and I literally could not be happier about it.

I've been a happy customer of Kosiner Bros doughnut shop since being introduced to their other businesses several years ago. I was willing to pay the $10.00 per half-dozen because the doughnuts were delicious, until the last time I went. What I got was a half dozen really disgusting rounds of white bread with congealed sugar syrup on top masquerading as doughnuts. They were awful and we didn't/couldn't eat them. I was really surprised by this, given my experience to-date with the purveyor and their usually excellet doughnuts. So I called to find out what had happened. First I spoke with an extremely rude man who told me that he didn't "have time to talk to you[me] all day about this". I'll give credit to one of the owners who did call me back to explain that 1) they have a new person making their dohnuts and 2) the good dohnuts are available on the weekends and not during the week when I had gone there. He said I should be sure to choose the other kind of doughnuts that I like and not the ones I don't like. The problem was that the other kind, the ones I've always purchased there, were not available and the "new" kind are really bad doughnuts. Anyway, he should have offered to comp me a 1/2 dozen "good" doughnuts, given their premium price structure, but he didn't. Bad customer relationship management. I'll not be making any special trips, like I did last time, to get doughnuts from these guys. The first person I spoke with today was so unacceptably rude. It sure takes the sweetness out of the dohnut.

Nasty! Nasty! Nasty! Rude, Douchebag clerk gave me the most disgusting attitude when I asked for a bag to put my doughnut in. It's raining and the establishment is so dark I wasn't sure about eating in a questionable environment. Never coming back here again.

Don't expect a Dunkin Donuts...these donuts are created in a little 10x10 trailer, and obviously a small mom & pop operation. But the important thing is that the donuts are delicious!! Stopped by on 10/8, and ordered 2 dozen to take to a Bday party...guess we lucked out because the mom and daughter (?) that were working had just made a fresh batch, and there was no line.

Does not inform you on their website that you need to call ahead 48hours before with request . Also does not inform you that the donut shop closes at 1 pm instead of 5pm shown on the website. Also they don't pick up the phone on the donut side which makes it impossible to put in requests. The workers said you have to call the hotdog shop next door . Maybe that should be put online. Had no idea there was a hot dog shop. Also over priced.
