Going to the Walnut Creek aaa is an exercise in frustration.  I have been sent back to gather more documents, signatures, records more than I care to remember. Some attendant is convinced the transaction cannot take place without it. When I return with the requested item, the new attendant doesn't even look at it.  I usually call ahead to make sure I have everything they could possibly think of only to be given wrong information. The manager washes her hands and takes no responsibility for the wrong information or for the unreasonable requests. I have never gotten anything accomplished there on a single trip. 
And as far as roadside service, don't even think about it for an RV or motorhome. After hours of looking for someone to change my tire IN the Bay Area they admitted they couldn't and asked me to find myself someone and get a refund. I did in less than and hour but took more than a year to get a refund. They ignore email requests and only phone calls during working hours seem to get things going. 
I have been with aaa more than 25 years. Finally going to kick this bad habit.

It's less conveniently located then when they were at the street level. Customer service is excellent with the exception of a couple of the clerks in the DMV section.  If anybody still needs actual paper maps they have those here too

When my car broke down the tow truck was there within 30 minutes.  The drive (P. Lentz) went above and beyond to get my car to Walnut Creek, he was very polite and the tow truck was really clean that's a plus.

Called several times.  Waiting on-hold for more than 30 minutes.  No one ever answered.
