The worst medical care I have ever seen. The ER doc was great it's when I got admit and taken to a floor the doc that was working the floor left me in pain all night. Did not care how I was feeling did not know my past medical history at all. So i would not ever recommend this hospital to anyone.

Recently I had a hip replacement at this Hospital's Orthopedic and Spine Institute.  It's top rate!  I am no stranger to being in the hospital so I feel I'm qualified to comment.  I was greeted immediately and everything was expedited. All pretesting was done a few days before at my convenience in the Orthopedic wing and I was shown around and introduced to people who would be my care givers.  No long wait at patient registration for tests.   At no time did I feel like I was imposing or bothering someone.  The surgery was a great success and everything that could be done to make me comfortable was done. The care was top notch. When I vetted Doc's to do my surgery I was thrilled to find Andy Star at the top of the list and that he liked operating at my local hospital. Everyone was courteous and thoughtful and as friendly as I could have hoped for. The PT folks were genuine and realistic in their approach which was a nice surprise.  The biggest surprise though was the food.  Hard to believe but the food was excellent! Seriously. I still remember the perfectly cooked cheeseburger and spicy fries post surgery.

I've been in and out through this hospital 19 times this past year.  For the most part, everything was barely ok from being treated like a hpyrochondriac to a druggy.  DR. Harris in the er should not even be practiceing.  Then, Yi, a nursing assistant is clueless and to annoyed to follow doctors orders.  Nurses Peg, Michelle and Leanne are superior.

Horrible experience with nursing staff and hospitalists.
My mother has been brought here at Lansdale ER for a fall with fractured pelvis, they send her to 4th floor for overnight until orthopedic will decide tomorrow where to send her for rehab.
In the meantime since mom is insulin dependent diabetic, the nursing staff and Dr can't decide how many units to inject and her sugar is approaching 400, they still are not here to give her insulin.
Not a good thing to tell the patient "you're not the only patient here, we have many other patients..." I guess essentially what the hospitalist meant was, just wait till we get to you.
The hospital did not seem too busy or understaffed, but somehow ended up being shift change and chaotic, BUT that's still not acceptable and not par with level of care you'd expect.
Donna (nurse supervisor) was kind enough to come to us and talked to me and agreed to make sure my mom receives rest of her meds and night insulin according to the chart prescribed by mom's enchrocronologist .
What a night, and if I have a choice, in the future I'll choose a different hospital.

I went in for swollening lips and the experience there was horrible they did not give me the proper care I feel like I deserve they didn't swab my mouth and do any test to see what was actually wrong with me. Dr Harris he just came in looked at my lips and told me to put some cold compresses on it and take Benadryl every four to six hours. Then they discharged me with one page of instructions. I am very unhappy in how they treated me there I will never go there again
