Reviews
A very good fit for many students who face challenges in a traditional school environment. The curriculum offers the flexibility and creativity to keep kids engaged and fosters accountability and achievement. The teachers and administration go the extra mile in helping kids achieve where other schools would give up on them. The project based curriculum isn't a good fit for everyone, but works very well for many.

I graduated from AAHS in 2014. I attended 2 public high schools and tried online schooling before finding my place at Academic Arts. I was a good student at other schools, but socially felt like an outcast and I was never encouraged to be my best. I was a little fish in a big ocean of creatures with not enough teachers to cater to individuals. However, when I found Academic Arts, I became an incredible student. The school had less than 100 students at my time of attendance. The division of 9th-12th graders was non existent. Every student knew one another and treated each other with respect as equals. It was a sanctuary of a school. I was challenged to become the best version of myself. I was enabled to start succeeding and to feel like my place in this world mattered. The atmosphere of this school brightens students and gives them the opportunity to express their capability to learn in completely new and different ways than any traditional school. These teachers make sure you grasp the lessons and skills it will take to live life outside of high school. They teach you academics, lifeskills, and treat your interests and hobbies as important parts in your personal learning program. AAHS treats its students to experiential days (Days where you leave the classrooms and adventure to real places to discover what the outside world has to offer for a lesson.) Academic Arts allows young adults to hold the tools in their own hands to build up their futures. This is the school that has inspired my determination to find a project based school for my daughter someday when she reaches the age to attend. Academic Arts High School knows and respects that every child matters and understands that you should never judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree.

Great school, amazing teachers and wonderful students. Learned so much in such a short period of time. Their attitude with the students are what stuck with me, they were NEVER rude to any of the students. The activities they have are super fun and the learning part was awesome. Switched to a different school near by and that was a big mistake. Academic Arts will forever be one of my favorite schools.
